Victory over the Northern Alliance? By Relkin Sypher October 22nd '07

Several weeks have passed since Eston's ally Barony of Makar joined the fight against Falasan. However, even with the help Eston and Barony of Makar seem to be unable to reverse the gains that Falasan has made. On the contrary, Eston has lost control of Dondor again and the region is currently leaderless.

It appears that if anything Falasan has acted with restraint, given the superiority of their military forces. Darka, who previously helped Eston, seems to be content to stay out of the war, perhaps wisely seeing that it would not be in their interests to rejoin it. Given all these factors, this newpaper wonders how much longer that war will continue. Eston has badly failed in its objective and Falasan has emerged stronger than before.

Given the similarity to Minas Ithil's own conflict, Norland would be wise to consider peace before it finds itself in a similar situation.

Northern Wars update By Relkin Sypher October 8th '07

Eston has reclaimed the region of Dondor from Falasan with the help of Barony of Makar. However, Falasan's army is largely intact and has continue to raid Eston regions in retaliation for the ravaging of their regions earlier in the war. Falasan has been victorious in recent battles in Meneriel and Amdor.

The stalemate between Minas Ithil and Norland continues. An attack on Elost was repelled by Norland this weekend. An end of the war seems unlikely, as Norland seems intent on claiming Winwich, Dunstoke and York for itself.

Monsters on the rise across Atamara By Relkin Sypher October 8th '07

Monsters are devastating various areas of Atamara. Cagilan Empire, Darka, and others are reported to be suffering from large scale monster attacks. Based on scattered reports CE at least is receiving help from Carelia and Talerium is helping Darka. It is good to see cooperation between nations in dealing with these attacks. Monsters have also become increasingly common in Minas Ithil but we have been thus far spared from attacks of the same degree as some other realms.
