Diane Eloise is the House de Haguns current head after sir Orpheu de Haguns's death. Born in the cadet branch of House de Haguns in Askileon, she now finds herself responsile for reestablishing her House's reputation in Perdan after the extinction of the main branch .

Appearance and Character

Out of the classical Haguns look, Diane has inherited only blue eyes. Her hair is thick, wavy and auburn-colored, falling past her shoulders, unlike the typical raven haired members of her House, including her older sister Maeve. This caused some suspicion that she was not truly a Haguns, but the rumors stopped after her own father acknowledged her as his daughter.

Standing roughly 5’6’’, Diane has an athletic yet slender frame that allows her to wear plate armor without much difficulty. Her skin is slightly tanned due to a lifetime in sunny Luria.

For attire, when she is in battle, Diane usually wears engraved plate mail depicting motifs of roses and thorns. When in court settings, she prefers gowns of silk, lace and velvet, especially in warm colours.

Born and raised in Luria Nova, she is used to monsters both in the battlefield and in the Court, but refuses to fall prey to intrigues and deceitfulness. Strictly adhering to chivalrous values, Diane believes in honor and duty to guide her actions, and tries to see and bring the best out of people. Some would call her naive in a world of gold and blood. However, she firmly believes that it is a noble's duty to lead humanity as a guiding torch towards a better future. Justice, humility, bravery and temperance are ideals she strives for.

Her demeanor exudes a natural gravitas which may be easily mistaken for arrogance or aloofness, in stark contrast with her youthful appearance. Naturally wary of other nobles due to her upbringing, once someone earns her trust and friendship, she is prone to smile and can be quite playful. It is easy to notice her thick Lurian accent.

Early Life

Born in Askileon, the capital of Luria Nova, Diane was raised in both perdanese and lurian traditions of her parents. As much as she enjoys battle and riding, the noblewoman favors hunting, balls and poetry. Her parents died while fighting for the Novan armies against monsters invasions that plagued Imperial territory, leaving both Diane and her sisters and brothers to be raised by their paternal grandparents, wealthy minor nobles in Luria and the first Haguns to set foot in Dwilight.

The wealth of her grandparents ensured that despite not being the first in line to inherit their lands and possessions, she would be trained in both court etiquette and swordfighting to seek a fortune of her own as a knight. Her grandfather deeply instilled into her values he had learned long ago in Perdan. In a way, she was raised as a child of Perdan and Luria, and was always fascinated by the realm from which her House hailed from, as much as the one she was now growing roots. Within time, however, she soon realized the perils of Court as she witnessed intrigues unfolding in the Imperial Court and started to tread carefully as to avoid being victim to those.

Once she reached seventeen years old, her grandfather presented her with armor, sword, gold and loyal soldiers to escort her to Perdan, expecting that she would make a name for herself and bring glory to House de Haguns. Diane hoped to find more about her origins and bond with others of her lineage, but what she found was her House in shambles after her cousin Orpheu's defection to Yssrgard and subsequent death on the sea as he sailed to besieged Isadril.
