Pierre, a young hotheaded cousin of Olivier and Joseph, left Atamara at a young age with ideas of grandeur. He ended up in Dwilight, where he quickly joined Morek and the Order of the Maddening Star. He enjoys the opportunities afforded by a mostly uncolonized land. He puts himself in trouble more than even basic regard for his own life should allow, but somehow always ends up surviving to tell the tale.

He later changed career and has become a bureaucrat, a post where he can be useful to the realm despite his modest income. He was successful in this. Later, when gold starting coming more easily, he took up the sword again, but keeps his quills set in a box he always carries around, in case his old skills can be useful.

He ran for the post of Coffermaster in the 5th year of Dwilight but had to retract his candidature when Lady Alanya Costella received official support from the Duchess of Donghaiwei. He also hired a preceptor to train his diplomatic skills, hoping to better serve the realm.

In the summer of the 5th year, a mysterious plague has hurt the Duchy of Donghaiwei and three of its lords have disappeared from public view. Pierre was then appointed Viscount of Huanghai by Duchess Allison Kabrinski. He became ambassador of Morek, later Xinhai when the Duchy of Donghaiwei seceded, and has signed a few treaties.

He was for a long time the owner of the Ancient Buckler of the Dragonslayer, which he eventually gave to former High Inquisitor Branthorpe Silverbear in recognition of his continuous bravery in battle. This felt oddly liberating to him. Along with the realizations that he would never gain the position of High Inquisitor, something he had worked towards for quite some time, helped him to take the decision to make a large change in his life. He gave the Countship of Huanghai to Krain Marrs, who had been his loyal knight since the beginning, abandoned his weapons, his quills, the intrigues of the court, and became a priest of Sanguis Astroism in the founding temple of Caiyun. He plans to preach in the south and convert the heathen lands in and around Pian en Luries.

Roleplay from Coturnix Struthionis (7 hours, 16 minutes ago) (OOC: Sorry, was away for a couple days!)

When Pierre arrived at the manor of the Gardens, he was greeted by a servant carrying a bundle of fine silks.

"Hail, Lord Pierre von Genf, Ambassador of the Empire of Morek. I have been instructed to offer you the hospitalities of the Gardens, and to present you with this gift chosen by the Marquess from his personal treasures."

He unwrapped the bundle partway, revealing a worn and useless sword.

"The Marquess carried this blade during his campaigns in Candiels. On the walls of Candiels, five score undead fell to this blade. In the Fields of Candiels, it was made warped and brittle by the daimonfire which scorched the sky for days. Ever since, the Marquess has attested the blade serves as a minor ward against the undead and their corrupting influence."

Again the blade was wrapped, and carefully offered to Pierre's care.

"The Marquess offers his prayers that this relic help keep your home safe. He only requests it not be taken too far from the ocean, lest it lose its protective powers."

RP to Coturnix: "I accept the gift with gratefulness. This will be ever useful in the treacherous lands that our boat need to land on without knowing whether they are still held by mankind or an unannounced scourge. I will always carry it with me when at sea, and will leave it in the Holy Sanctum in the port of Mimer when I am inland, so that it protects the whole peninsula with its beneficial influence."
