On a diplomatic mission from Perdan (Realm) to Shadowdale in his role as Ambassador, Duke Fontaine of Perdan City ventured through Eponlli territory shortly after the Great Peace had been declared. Accompanied by Dame Aila Storme, who brought with her troops with which she served as the Duke's guard.

Fear not, Lady Lorelai, tis snakes I despise more than spiders, and I shall be on the lookout for both,

Our small convoy has travelled through Troyes which is the region belonging to House Mormont. Funny, when pressed, the peasants were sure they were under the rule of a Countess.

It has been an age since I travelled north of the city, across the river. Troyes has been known for the broad fertile plains stretching from the northern hills of Poitiers to the grasslands of Morshes. Along the southern stores, villagers can be seen washing their clothes, collecting water for irrigation, or fly-fishing. Several villages line the shores; we did not visit. The west Troyes border consists of steep rocky cliffs . Peering out to the ocean, one can see ships frequently sailing up and down to foreign and domestic ports.

Troye's main settlement lies in the heart of the plains; it is rather large town consisting of nearly a thousand hovels. In the center lies the Counts own stone manor. He must have an appreciation for wine, for there are several acres for vineyards. Although the small units we brought with were clearly the equal of the hundred of so militiamen here, we did not bother each other, nor import on the local Lord save to send him a message that we were passing peaceably through,

Set sail!
