If you want to use the blue and yellow, perhaps you can experiment with the text in dark blue on a dark yellow background and dark yellow on a dark blue background. - I agree. The colours are to bright and the text is unreadable. Perhaps darker colours. If you want to use the blue and yellow, perhaps you can experiment with the text in dark blue on a dark yellow background and dark yellow on a dark blue background.
