Width?

Not sure about you, but to me, it seems like this box is way too narrow...checked on both Firefox and Safari. Each of the columns only seems to have room for 1 word, so it's just single words going down. --Anaris 19:36, 7 December 2006 (CET)

The syntax is correct, but I haven't completed the box fully yet, and that is why it looks weird. Check back again once it's done and you'll know =) -- Gsklee 19:44, 7 December 2006 (CET)

Errors

There's an error. Sponsoring an army doesn't gain you fame. I've sponsored 3, 2 in Beluaterra by Hireshmont, 1 in Atamara by Onliana. Vellos 02:46, 31 December 2006 (CET)

Oh, nevermind, just checked my fame. I seem to have gained 3 fame points out of the blue... Vellos

There's no error... Click on the green Fame point and it will lead you to a note stating the additional requirement. -- Gsklee 23:35, 4 January 2007 (CET)

Question

I was wondering...for offices such as region lord or duke, do you have to hold it for a number of days before earning the fame or what? --J 19:43, 4 January 2007 (CET)

No, you should get the fame point immediately. For some fame points, you need to wait for the next turn change, or full turn change, but I don't think this is one of them. In any case, it's not like the ruler fame, where you get some after 10 or 100 days. --Indirik 19:49, 4 January 2007 (CET)
That's weird then...1 turn has passed since my character became duke...and I still haven't got fame points for that...o_O]]...--J 21:08, 4 January 2007 (CET)

Unknown Famepoints

Doesn't it strike you as odd that almost all experienced families have about 3 fame points unaccounted for? Sometimes 2 or 4, but almost always 3. Strange coïncidence I'd say. Clearly they are bound to something that comes with time, as it is only the case with older families. Either it is age, or it is skill, or maybe # days in one realm... Age could be likely, although I only have two characters old enough to actually matter. Skill might be likely too, but I thought you could only get a skill-fame once, and that it counted for all skills. Though skill can be possible as I reached with leadership, bureaucracy, swordfighting and infiltration an amount higher than 50%. That could take account for those three extra points... # days in one realm sounds unlikely, I only have one character that can fall in taht category, unless you already get a point for just 1 year.

Any ideas? Foreign Curs 16:32, 13 January 2007 (CET)

No ideas mate. I will list myself as one of the "experienced" as well, but I only have one unknown point so far. -- Gsklee 05:46, 15 January 2007 (CET)
Actually, I don't think time has anything at all to do with the proliferation of unknown points in older families. I believe that it's because Tom has added fame points retroactively, and these older families received lump sums of fame for uncertain events, rather than seeing them slowly accumulate as they achieved identifiable triggers for the fame. Incidentally, after three years, I don't have any unidentified fame... in fact I think I may be short fame. (I should look into that) -- Murakama 20:00, 10 April 2007 (CEST)

Outcast?

Are you sure you get a fame point for that? I've seen a family with plenty of bans yet 0 fame. Where'd you get that fame idea from? -Chénier 18:20, 8 April 2007 (CEST)

Example
This is a bad example. The family linked above has accumulated few bans (only 4 as of now), and no individual has accumulated more than 2 bans. If this is a fame point, the criteria would most likely be the number of concurrent bans for an individual family member. Since bans are dropped when you emigrate, they would all have to be for the same character and gathered without being deported or emigrating. I don't know if this is really a fame point, but this example doesn't illustrate the point either for or against. --Indirik 19:34, 10 April 2007 (CEST)
I think it is for the new exile option TOM has created, not for multiple bans. Fredrich 20:58, 8 April 2007 (CEST)

I'm reasonably sure Tom has said that this is not, in fact, a correct identification of a fame point. I've also seen no conclusive evidence that it is a fame point. --Anaris 18:35, 10 April 2007 (CEST)

This point isn't really that hard to achieve; the fact people tend to emigrate to "wash away" their bans is the main reason it remains undiscovered for too long. Get an infiltrator to stab around several realms on Atamara or Beluaterra and it won't be long before you see it. -- Gsklee 22:48, 12 April 2007 (CEST)

Death Fame

Seems like there are criteria on honour/prestige; one of my characters was tortured to death (for low h/p characters) and there is no this so-called "Death Fame". -- Gsklee 22:39, 12 April 2007 (CEST)
