Two things about the war of the Northern Isles:
1) Itorunt never rapes or murders peasants. In this case, we didn't even loot taxes(there was nothing worth taking anyhow) because we had intended to colonize Chaos Temple until it was depopulated by the rebel occupiers. We did, however, destroy the military installations on the southern isle. Something which actually saved hundreds of Kalmarian lives by saving them from being conscripted wholesale, torn form their farms and homes and forced to fight on the parapets of Chaos Temple.
