Perleone was founded on the 10th of October 1013 out of the duchy of Al Arab by King Nigel De La Fere.
The new realm was a joint effort by Westmoor and Perdan.
Early History
Perleone was created after Perdan managed against all predictions to defeat the three realms that had banded together against it in the south: Caligus, Armonia and Eponllyn. While the terms handed out to Caligus and Armonia were relatively light a few regions here and there; Caligus was to leave the new Fallangard realm which ceded from Caligus alone (three regions including Isadril at that time), Eponllyn suffered heavily losing the entire duchy of Al Arab and the white city of Ibladesh all of which became the new realm of Perleone.
King Nigel first set about securing the position of the realm politically amongst the friends they had already this included Perdan and it's allies. Fallangard also was a quick ally of Perdan, an alliance which had secured it's existence. Westmoor and OI were also soon all allied to Perleone and each other making a very strong southern alliance or mid island alliance. Tensions between Eponllyn and Perleone were high from the beginning but increased with the internal meltdown of Armonia when Fallangard and Eponllyn attacked the realm from both sides. In a surprising move the duchy of Xavax joined Perleone along with Itorunt but for political reasons and mistrust the Itorunt duchy soon changed sides again to Itorunt. This resulted eventually in the destruction of Armonia but also in creating a situation where Armonian nobles were now on both sides of two realms not at war. Norritor a Perleone region was left stranded inside Eponllyn lands.
War broke out between Perdan and Caligus over issues of trust (they thought Caligus was more friendly with Sirion and was plotting against them) and Fallangard and Perleone were relatively quick to join in on this war. During the conflict Eponllyn took Betholm a Perleone region that had gone rogue. Although the two realms were not at war this increased political pressure between the two realms. The issues of Betholm and Norritor haven't been resolved to date.

The howling wolves was created by Margrave Cassandra Foxglove and was to be Perleone's main army. The armies first set of campaigns against Caligus and Sirion have been generally successful providing added strength to Fallangard and securing the defense of the town of Ar Mosul from the Sirion red dragons.

The Domus Contego was created by then treasurer Kallimira Elvinfir to give the courtiers and priests of the realm an organization to work as a cohesive force across the kingdom.
