The origins of the House of Foxglove are in the mountainous region of Evora on the East Continent. Their crest is a spray of the purple foxglove flowers from which the family takes its name, and the House motto is "Family, Unity, Strength".

A complete record of the honours and titles that have been held by the family, as prepared by the House historians, can be read in the House Foxglove Scroll of Honour.

Thomas Foxglove

The first child of William and Elisha Foxglove, and the greatest hope of the family. Ambitious, intellectual, and physically brave, he was educated in the arts of politics and warfare almost from birth. When he came of age he joined the military of Westmoor. Rising quickly through the ranks, he first served as Vice-Marshal of the Westmoorian Column before being promoted to Marshal at the exceptionally young age of 19. The rapid promotions continued when he was appointed Lord General by King Maedros.

As his relatives expected, Thomas was the first member of the family to take a major regional title when he was appointed Count of Oberndorf. After serving the Kingdom of Westmoor on the battlefield for most of his adult life, Thomas eventually fulfilled the destiny most felt awaited him, becoming King of Westmoor when he succeeded King Jor on the throne.

The most serious minded member of the family, Thomas is loyal to both his friends and the Kingdom of Westmoor. He commands The Scarlet Sentinels, named for the scarlet cloaks that Thomas presents to each man as they join the troop.

Bremer Foxglove

The second child of William and Elisha Foxglove. While his brother Thomas studied, Bremer was out exploring the mountains of Evora or getting in to fights. It was one of these brawls that led to the accidental death of the son of an Evoran government official. To protect the family reputation, and save the child Bremer from any vengeful relatives of the deceased, Bremer was quietly shipped off to relatives in Atamara until he could come of age and decide his own destiny.

When he did come of age, Bremer first served Eston but his restless spirit then brought him to Coria. Fighting tirelessly for the Republic, he was one of the few Corian nobles present at the great battle of Barad Gardor when Corian soldiers and militia successful defended the city against the massed armies of Darka, Hammarsett, Minas Ithil, and the Barony of Maker. Following an internal dispute in Coria, Bremer took to the road once more and headed to Caergoth. Only a few days after he joined the Kingdom, he was caught up in the defection of the Riverholm duchy to Suville. For his loyal service to Duke Kindel of Riverholm, Bremer was soon given the lordship of Rustton within the duchy. He later went on to take the first duchal title for the Foxglove family, becoming Duke of the coastal city of Narville in Suville.

In his youthful wanderings, Bremer was light-hearted and sometimes unpredictable. His easy nature disguised a savage edge - only fully revealed in his joy taken in spilling blood in battle - mixed with a powerful desire to earn personal glory. At that time, his only loyalty was to himself, and he was perfectly happy to fight for both sides of a war as long as someone gave him the chance to kill, rob, and burn. Even as he aged, the old lust for battle never weakened but he began to develop a more serious frame of mind. He commands The Crimson Blades.

Cassandra Foxglove

The youngest child of William and Elisha Foxglove. When Caligus invaded Evora, and began slaughtering the local population, Cassandra was forced to flee the family mansion and make the difficult journey to friendly lands. Arriving in Morshes, she swore to take up arms for Westmoor to help drive back the invaders. Once Evora was liberated Cassandra chose to remain in military service to march beside her brother Thomas (and tease him about the armies of toy soldiers he played with as a child).

Being forced to flee her home by an invading army at a young age has made Cassandra concerned for the welfare of the weak and defenseless. Deeply religious, Cassandra takes her faith in the Church of Humanity very seriously. She considers monsters and the undead to be evil and unholy, and she hunts them down mercilessly. While she is capable of great tenderness to those she trusts, she can be harsh when threatened. Cassandra commands the Thorns of the Rose, named in honour of the rose emblem of Westmoor.

Rosalind Foxglove

Daughter of Samuel and Rosamund, and cousin to Thomas, Bremer, and Cassandra. Rosalind's branch of the family chose to leave their home region of Evora on the East Continent to settle in the Far East. When her parents died when she was little more than a child, Rosalind was largely left to fend for herself while being cared for by a few faithful servants. Coming of age, Rosalind swore an oath to Kindara at the age of 17 and was soon marching with their armies. Her first campaign saw the destruction of the realm of C'thonia in a bitter siege that lasted a whole winter and killed thousands of peasants. Astonishingly, Rosalind's second campaign then saw the destruction of the realm of Cathay.

Rosalind's soldiers soon started to whisper that death and destruction seemed to follow her. Seeing no great harm in creating an air of fear and superstition around her, Rosalind decided to play into this image by having her maids create a cloak of feathers collected from the ravens that decended on the corpses of the siege of Hatdhes. When she began wearing this cloak as a part of her battle dress, her troops took to calling her The Raven. A nickname she quietly enjoys.

The main branch of the Foxglove family had been searching for the 'lost' Rosalind for years before they heard of the death of her parents. As soon as this became known, Thomas dispatched the loyal family advisor Meech to take service with Rosalind. The huge man is her constant companion and is never far from her side.

After giving loyal service to Kindara in the wars against C'thonia and Cathay, and earning some respect in its many councils, Rosalind had the honour of being elected as Grand Justiciar at just 20 years of age.
