Ruling the northeastern part of the island, Giblot is a land of bounty and conquest. The gold and food flows freely, as does the blood of our foes.

Since the trade ships arrived from other lands of the world nobility and warriors from all over have joined our realm and contiunue to do so. We live diverse lives with no predjudice against anyones beliefs.

Journalism

Here in Giblot we adore our Journalists and their dedicated reporting across Giblots vast frontiers. It keeps everyone in the know with the latest happenings from across the realm. Newspapers have a large influence in Giblot, with more than one civil servants career ruined by gatecrashing reporters. The most popular of Giblots news publications is The Giblot Gestapo Gazette which has a reputation for it's unique reporting and it's bloodthirsty nature

However, The Giblot Tribune, is slowly clawing its way up to the top, riding high upon the moral backlash against the Gazette. Needless to say, the Gazette has already declared a vendetta against the softies at the Tribune.

Entertainment

After a sad period were the Giblot peasantry seemed to dislike alcohol this trend has now, thankfully abated and thus Giblots biggest taverns and clubs are now officially back in business! It is widely believed that Giblot could not function without out its nightlife, when all the gossip, and indeed, a substantial part of Giblots coinage ends up changing hands. The most popular place to find one of the valiant troopleaders of Giblot nowadays is in a recently renamed tavern, The Headless OT.

Sports

Traditionally, Giblot has not been much of a sporting realm. All that changed however, upon the discovery of Headball! This has now become a national phenomenon and a favourite sporting event amongst the Giblot nobility and indeed the ordinary citizenry for that matter. The Giblot Headball League has since been setup to regulate this fast growing Sport and ensure that there are always enough heads to go round!

Government

Giblots style of Government is that of a Republic and voting takes place regularly to elect a new Prime Minister and Judge. Although the Council of Giblot makes the final decision on key issues and handles behind the scenes developments, far reaching decisions are usually put to a realm wide vote. It is this Strong, but Fair goverance that ensures Giblots continuing Success.
