==Why home guard ==

Without a threatening war, Home Guard would seem to be responsible for: <br>
 
1. Fixing up how happy our regions are. <br>
 
2. Making sure new troop leaders are capable enough, before being given a more active role. <br>
 
3. Trade <br>
 
4. Remaining Alert enough to respond to large looting missions from distant enemies and the like, defending our cities. <br>
 
5. Killing rogues <br>
 
6. Training troops. <br>
 
7. Saving money <br>

At the moment, that's all pretty boring. There are never rogues to fight as pretty much no-one gets kicked, it's unlikely anyone will be sending a raiding force right at the moment, and our tax rate is fairly low so our regions are healthy.
 
A lot of that is More important than main army, Home Guard pay for their existence, it's just more boring. <br>

I suspect you can actually use the caravan to shift food around Darka, but maybe we're not set up for it. I'll bug people to find out what's happening there. <br>

There are those who enjoy the police work or internal trade so want to stay, anyone else showing the basic pre-requisites will probably find themselves in a front line battle group fairly soon. <br>
 
'Honeymoons'* are often less satisfying than 'wanking'** around home but if you want to join a more combat oriented battlegroup, just ask. <br>
