History: The Cursed Shield was discovered in the lair of the Dire Hobgoblin MegMock on the outskirt of Saffalore. MegMock was rumored to have received the shield from a witch who he had done a favor for. Cedreic Aboolio took up the task of clearing the cave after MegMock's minion after reports came in that they had been terrorizing the countryside. In a final battle against the Dire Bugbear Cerdreic struggled time and time again to get a hit in past the Cursed Shield, but ultimately only managed to overcome his enemy by luring him to a ledge and pushing him off into an underground ravine.
