History

Tidey Grindle, an outcast from the Grindle Family after a past of lies and theft, had found herself in the realm of Itorunt on the East Continent, after a stint in the prisons of the Netherworld on Beluaterra. It was here that she met Dana Tinsley, and learned a lot about fighting. Dana and Tidey worked together hunting undead in Itorunt, learning off each other, and improving their swordfighting. It was not long before Dana defeated an undead champion, and discovered what was to become known as the Brilliant Sabre of Battle.

The Sabre was used by the judge of Itorunt, and was later returned to Dana for repairs. He was one item short of what he needed, and left for a trip round the southern lake on the East Continent, in search of it, leaving all his possessions with Tidey for safekeeping. On his travels, he was captured and killed in Ibladesh. Tidey took it upon herself to continue Dana's search for the items needed to repair the Sabre, and was in Itorunt city searching, when a call came for help with undead in Nimraw from its local lord. Tidey left Itorunt, and was in the region of Jareidma when she came across a huge number of undead, also on their way to Nimraw.

Tidey fought them, on and off, for a few days. Finally, on the fifth day, she discovered their leader, and attacked him while he was away from the main group. By the time the group had noticed and come for her, she had killed him, and stolen his gold and a helm. As she ran off, she heard a loud moan from one of the undead:

"Bring that back, young lady. All that wear it will be destined to live as we do, with no... ...on the head of... ...man..."

Tidey didn't stop to listen to the rest of the sentence, as she fled for safety, and to examine the helm she had captured. It was of a fine quality, the strongest she'd ever seen, though she couldn't help but wonder about the half-heard threat that came with it. She felt it appropriate to name it the Cursed Helm.
