Brennaborg Family/Susan of Dyzig

Susan was born in 9 YD as the oldest child of Peter I of Dyzig. After the rebellion and subsequent death of her father the young Susan and her brother, Peter II, were assigned as wards to his rival, Irmgard of Brennaford. Irmgard recognized the political usefullness of the children and made sure they were being well taken care of. Susan impressed her guardian with her bright mind and since Irmgard had only sons, she took a liking to Susan, in whom she recognized much of herself.

Irmgard arranged a marriage for Susan with her oldest son, Lucas. Susan understood realpolitik and learned to play her role well. She was instrumental in helping her husband achieve his ambitions and also gave him a son: Marcus. After her husband's death in 64 YD, Susan would continue to play an influential role. This was recognized by Eiric Wilde of Wicrose, who seized control of Libidizedd with her support during the Astrumese Succession War. When Westgard regained control of Libidizedd, she was allowed to keep her possessions on the condition that she would retire from public life.
