Little is known of the mysterious man claiming to be called R'guard Da Hadez, indeed there is no record of him in the Da Hadez family archives and none of his family can recal the name being used. He was first seen in Norland shortly after the death of the hero Balian Da Hadez and it has been assumed by some that R'guard chose to use the Da Hadez name either to honour Norland's former general or in an attempt to associate himself somehow with the honour of his name. Nevertheless it is also assumed that he has no real afilliation with the family. R'guard travels with two companions (who's names are not known) with a small infantry unit identifying itself as the Hel-Blár. The Hel-Blár banner consists a crow's outline in crimson against a plain black sheet, their uniforms consist of hooded black robles which completely obscure their features. On the rare occasions that the faces of one of these men has been glimpsed it is said to have skin as black and dull as charcoal though this is likely some exotic cosmetic affection rather than natural pigmentation. The Hel-Blár are very secretive and keep a distance between themselves and their realm-mates, they are rarely heard talking and when overheard it is usually only as fragments of whispered conversation. While the men who make up the Hel-Blár seem to be unusually slender, even frail, under their concealing robes there is a sense of concealed strength about them that unnerves many who encounter them.
