The Prince of Strife came unto me, and showed me of things to come. He showed me a Beast rising from the sea, and the Beast had the body of a Lion, and the head of a Serpent and the tail of a Dragon. The Beast came ashore beneath a Moon of Blood, and he summoned to him the Beasts of the land, and they worshiped the Beast, who was called Temeluchus. The Beast fed upon the flesh of Man, and from his scraps, the lesser Beasts so fed, and acquired a taste for Man. The Beast had been born of the Whore of Xinhai, and gorged on her Corruption. As all things of Xinhai, the Beast coveted the West, with its fertile fields and glorious cities.
