Roos is a Dutch word, meaning «flower». The family holds this to be a way of life, then, to be the beautiful thing despite the thorns that surround, the weeds that threaten to choke, and the fertile ground (manure) in which they find themselves. All these things, which threaten to kill, can actually produce the more treasured blossom. For this reason, the three water carriers represent that which the individual brings to encourage the blossom: carry one for Tyr, carry one for Zisa, and carry one for your family.
