"It was a long trek to Shinnen, after many months of planning and preparation, and the way was fraught with danger on all sides. The goblin-kin dogged our steps, forcing us to withdraw and advance in order to avoid them, a deadly dance between the two sides. - Rauffe de Grenefeld, Marquis of Shinnen Purlieus
Myern was founded in the city of Shinnen during the the summer of the sixth year of Dwilight by four nobles from the Grand Duchy of Fissoa; Erasel Arnel, Galeo Sciurus, Samuel Quasath, and Rauffe de Grenefeld. They set out from Fissoa with nearly a hundred men, making it the city of Shinnen with less than half that strength.
