Melias is a region of rolling hills and valleys. The area is known for warm winds and the striking purple fields of lavender which, with the yellow grain and green pastures, drape over the region like a patchwork quilt. The people of Melias grow crops mainly for their own use but export wool and mutton gained from their large herds of sheep. The other main export of Melias is mead, the Vale of Hartwood being home to many fine apiarists and distillers under the patronage of the Hartwood family. | |||
