Caleb Kingsley is an Ithilian nobleman, prince, and exile. After escaping York following his father's defeat and death in the Siege of York, Caleb led a small group of Ithilian nobles south, and established a government in exile in the realm of Coria. Backing the quickly rising Merlin Silverfire in his reformation of Coria into Silnaria, Caleb rose to some prominence being granted land in Belegmon where he recruited and gathered strength to reclaim his homeland. Over time, Caleb became dissatisfied with Merlin's lack of effort to help him maintain his promise to help restore Minas Ithil and joined the Silnarian Underground. He joined Yenom Thunderstrike in his rebellion, deposing Merlin.

After Yenom's silence on the matter of restoring Ithilian reign in the Northeast continued to damage Caleb's plans, Caleb and company headed north to Lyonesse, a satellite realm of the Cagilan Empire. Together, his exiles infiltrated the government and took control of the Kingdom, establishing it as their base of operations. Unfortunately war between the Cagilan Empire and Darka began to bleed into Lyonetian lands, devastating the regions. After a betrayal by one of Caleb's lords, Lyonesse began to crumble as well, and his court fractured and dispersed.

Caleb wandered the wastes of the West, eventually taking residence in Talerium, where his father's friend Ravendon Eirikir now fought, in exile from his own homeland. In despair, Caleb lamented his fate, trying and failing to restore his kingdom. When Atamara sank beneath the waves, he fled the sinking took a small estate in Portion, retiring as a petty lord over lands just outside the city.
