Eirikr Family

Originally hailing from Lamia in the Barony of Makar, comes from a long line of Viking noblemen that had fought under other lords against the Giant Badgers so long ago. Eventually, they decided to send Maduin, the favored of the family, to lead troops and fight for his place in Valhalla, for he was the first to show any real strategic skill in addition to his battle prowess. His work has led to public notice of the Eirikr family. Like most other Viking families, the Eirikrs are known for drinking heavily of Makarian ales.

An Eirikr, with small exception, rarely cares much about the details and prefers to deal with things head-on. This frequently leads to battle or to duels, both of which are favorite pastimes. Being Vikings, the entire Eirikr family favors axes and wears little armor, choosing instead to rely up their personal skills. Ravendon is the only recorded Eirikr to wear armor, likely due to the influence of Southern culture.

The Eirikrs have always been Vikings true to the word and have recently moved their family home to Yule in favor of even colder weather and to be close to Maduin's estate.

Beyond the brothers Maduin and Ravendon, the family also includes Maduin's son, Kuvio. Kuvio was tasked with bringing Viking might to bear against the daimons of Beluaterra.

There are also rumors from the Far East Island of a forgotten son, Orado. It is unclear to whom he was born.
