Treaty of Cessation of Hostilities - Autumn of 19 YD

This treaty was forged by Ambassador Pierre von Genf with the involvement of Astrum, on behalf of Summerdale, and the Libero Empire.

Considering,

-The Morek Empire and the Libero Empire aim to reduce the power of Summerdale, and to expand their own realm in its territory by right of conquest.

-Astrum has a definite interest in a stable northern border and peace.

-The Summerdalians want respect for their culture and a chance to survive as an entity.

As such, I suggest the following:

-The Morek Empire will take over Odenir, Nifel and Nifelheim and add these regions to its Empire.

-The Storm peninsula will be taken by the Libero Empire.

-Valkyrja and the other regions west of Nifel are left over the suzerainty of Astrum.

-Astrum, the Morek Empire and the Libero Empire agree to keep the peace along these border lines. The Alliance between Astrum and Morek will be re-signed in itsante bello terms.

-The former nobles of Summerdale are allowed to choose among one of three paths:

1. They can remain within Astrum. Should Astrum wish to create a new realm out of Valkyrja to re-create Summerdale, the Libero Empire and the Morek Empire will accept peace with this realm, which will be considered a vassal of Astrum. Should Astrum retain Valkyrja within its fold, then this is also agreed.

2. They can join the Morek Empire and will be accepted and integrated should they wish to. The Margravinate of Nifelheim and Dukedoms will not be available positions for them for the first year, otherwise they will be treated as equals.

3. Lastly, should a group of Dalians wish to form a group and emigrate to another realm at least 500 miles from Morek's border, either to form a new colony or to jointly join another existing realm, then the Morek Empire will finance this endeavor with a one time payment of 5'000 pieces of gold.

I hope this proposal achieves its twin goals of allowing the Dalian culture to survive, while giving security guarantees to all other partners.
