Please consider using Template:Infobox RegionData instead, which automatically fetches the relevant and always-correct data from the game engine itself. Use this template for historical pages where the region data is no longer available (e.g. the sunk south islands).

To convert, use the "image" property - the first number is the world-id, the second the region-id.

Realm / Duchy Virovene / Muspelheim
Local Lord Kole

Formerly of the Springdale Empire, the great plains of Croton are a central region of Virovene, and is the largest region in the realm. The region left Springdale to join the fledgling realm of Virovene during the War of Succession. It borders the regions of Nimh, White Plains, Taishan and Bohai, belonging to Morek, and Aegir's Deep, belonging to the Raivan Empire.

There was once a major road in the north which skirts Mt. Black Nastrond linking Muspelheim and Nifelhold, but this was broken up after Springdale and Virovene declared war to prevent easy access to the heart of Virovene. The region is the main producer of food for the realm, and its goods are shipped all over Virovene, and is the primary food source for the city of Muspelheim.

Croton is a largely agricultural region, with much of its population working as farmers and gathers. This has lead to it being the chief exporter of food in the region, and being the main source of food for the nearby city of Muspelheim. the region is viewed by many scholars as being of archaeological importance to the whole North-eastern sub-continent, as it contains many ruins and barrows from the region's ancient past, which are under constantly studied. It is believed that a city may have once existed on the ground which today is covered by fields of wheat and corn. However, this is currently only speculation to explain the high concentration of ruins in the area.

The folk of Croton are a gentle and kind people, hard to anger and quick to befriend, with many deeply held religious and moral beliefs, giving the regions inhabitants a firm ideas of right and wrong. Many work the land and have very straightforward views on life. However, if they are angered the people of Croton are a force to be reckoned with, being fiercely loyal and tenacious in battle.

In Croton the people form very tight knit communities within the wide plains, and outsiders can be viewed with much suspicion in the more out of the way villages. Many outsiders consider the people of Croton backward, but they can be very forward thinking if needs be.

The region Lord's estate is sat on top of a small hill, overlooking the only town in Croton, Swingway. The hall itself is a smallish structure, with only two wings connected to the main building. However, it is an ancient relic of times gone by, and is still a very comfortable and liveable structure, with obvious signs of Nestronian masonry used throughout. Many Lords have come and gone through its old halls. It commands marvellous views of the surrounding countryside, and is sure to be the home of region Lords for many years to come.

The region's lordship was once labelled as cursed by many nobles as many lords disappeared after appointment, though this is just considered a myth by theorists, suggesting external factors such as ill health and age to be factors as opposed to a true curse.
