During the middle of the reign of Emperor Cleon Cullom there was a revolt. Glaumring Apasurian the Thulsoman and old king of the northlands of Thulsoma lord of the Bloodmoon banner seized the throne in an effort to save the kingdom from a meandering and slow death through neglect and lack of communication. Asylon is a realm of idealism seeking to bring forth the restoration of what was once the strongest territory of Dwilight. Built on the ashes of the great Ancient Echiur Dynasty, a land that has been ravished by monsters and undead alike now welcome the authority and protection of Asylon. Located in the western hill region of the Far West, the city of Echiur stands as the capital of Asylon, a beacon of hope to the surrounding regions still terrorized by vile beasts and the unholy dead. Asylon marches forth under the motto of "Yaratma" Create, "Yenileme" Restore, and "Bozulmasını" Preserve we seek to resurrect this once dead land.

History

In the land of Caerwyn, the ideal that became Asylon was hatched. In this land the true beginning of Asylon stands, and it is a beginning fraught with expectations, failures, perseverance, and finally success.

In the summer of the 9th year of Dwilight the City of Echiur realized the beauty of the religion Verdis Elementum and swore loyalty to Caerwyn and her loyal priest Graeth Geg. Priest Graeth Geg soon handed control of Echiur over to Lord Cleon Cullom destined to become the first emperor. Echiurfield soon joined the Duchy and as winter fell across the realms of Dwilight, Asylon declared Independence. The six brave nobles who focused their lives to the foundation of Asylon now saw that dream come true, and it was beautiful. Emperor Cleon, Imperial Strategos Hengist, High Magestrate Gladia, Treasury Logothete Maerwynn, Lady Moria, and Priest Graeth Geg enjoyed a well earned feast in Echiur as the new flag was raised across this now hopeful city.

The revolt took place because of percieved bias within the government structure of Asylon that neglected the Thulsoman majority and also regarding the lack of communication or urgency in the Emperor to unify Asylon as a single nation. Elements in Caerwyn tried to make the revolt into a religious takeover by Sanguis Astroism. Thulsoman nobles are primarily of the Sanguis Astroist faith. King Glaumring has repeatedly stated his desire to maintain a secular state of religious freedom within Asylon. He has also said that in times of stability he would like to personally fund the enlargement of the Verdis Elementum temple in Eichur. Leaving religion up to region lords. The revolt is still relatively controversial outside of Asylon, within Asylon many supported it and joined the rebellion with only a few siding with the loyalist forces. King Glaumring has repeatedly said that the outside forces desire to make the revolt into something bigger than it actually was in an attempt to thwart Asylonian sovereignty.

Communication with Caerwyn since the takeover has ceased. Caerwyn has repeatedly expressed their hatred for Sanguis Astroism. Asylon has repeatedly ask that Caerwyn respect their sovereignty and leave religion out of it.

Culture

Our flag stands as a strong representation of what we stand for and who we are, a phoenix rising from the ashes of a once dead land. Our society is one of unification between different cultures and peoples, and although we originated from Caerwyn, very early on many nobles from the realm of Thulsoma joined. The story of the Caerwynian nobles who split to become Asylon is outlined in our history, but the story of these Thulsomians is greatly deserving of attention as it equates to almost half of the culture of Asylon. (insert story here).

Our society is greatly enriched by the joining of these two cultures, the diversity of nobles and strength of each segment has enabled a greater understanding of the people and the culture now in our care.
