New High Marshall and update on the war
The King has appointed Snider Marshal of the Leohampton Legion to High Marshall of all Minas Ithil Forces. The balance in the war seems to swing more in our favor, as Norland continues to hide behind her walls in Mansbrige. In other news Anton has been appointed the new Count of Winwich for service to the kingdom.

Winwich retaken once again
In a fierce battle Minas Ithil defeated the Norland forces oppressing our people in Winwich. The region was quickly reintegrated into Minas Ithil but many days of work remain to restore it to its former greatness.

News from afar
Barony of Makar has joined forces with their ally Eston against Falasan and its allies. The conflict between Eston and Falasan appears to be expanding and pulling in more realms. Makar's decision to help Eston is as expected of course. Whether this will tip the balance in Eston's favor is unknown at this time.

Our King to lead us to victory!
High Marshall Azrael, who had only recently been appointed to lead our army has mysteriously disappeared. While foul play was suspected no further information has turned up as of this time. His troops were questioned to no avail, and we may never know what transpired. Azrael will be sorely missed and a memorial for his service will likely be erected.

In the wake of his absence Dead Angel3 has decided to step forth and lead us to victory. With our King leading us into battle we will surely prevail against Norland's aggressions. Additionally, this writer has the honor of now leading the York Elite Army which was also under Azrael's command.

Other News
It appears that our monster and undead problems may be at an end for a time. Ever since Norland first invaded, our lands have been plagued by these dark creatures. Some have of course suspected Norland sorcery but proving such is difficult.

Our troops have been diligently slaying such creatures and our hard work has at last paid off. Based on the most current reports, the last of the undead in our lands will soon be slain. Truely a good sign.

More Sordnaz Letters
The York Journal has received copies of the following letters sent to all the rulers of Atamara. In the interest of providing the complete story to our readers we have decided to publish them as they relate to the prior article. Both were sent yesterday around the same time.

Letter 1:

Greetings

I dont know who is spreading rumours around this world but right now the Barony seams to be a favourite subject as both I and my general have received several messages from different realms asking if or even why we are to attack them. They all had more or less reliable sources telling them that BoM was comming their way, one ruler didnt beleive it and told me right up that it was a lie but why bothering me if he was sure about it?

Fact is that my hordes where travelling south and ended up in MI, I kicked them out of there and sent them home as they couldnt hold a map straight. They had no real rally point but orders to follow federated borders, ...peaceful mission by vikings?

During this last week I have been thinking (tried to) and analyzing my relations with other realms and the history behind them, some needs to be altered in order to show the presence and not the past.

Sordnaz Dictator of Barony of Makar, Duke of Sale, Marshal of the Makarian Peace Corps.

Letter 2:

One small error.

Fact is that my hordes where travelling south and ended up in MI

Fact is that my hordes where travelling south and ended up in Winwich a region under Norland banner but still disputed as Minas Ithils claim on it was so fresh that the paint hadnt dried yet.

Sordnaz Dictator of Barony of Makar, Duke of Sale, Marshal of the Makarian Peace Corps.

Barony of Makar Troops in Winwich
As Norland succeeded in their brutal takeover of Winwich, Barony of Makar had troops just across the river in Mansbridge. In the time since the takeover BoM troops have been repeatedly seen in Winwich. Its unclear what Sordnaz's motivations are in allowing this but they do not appear friendly to the people of Minas Ithil. These actions appear especially egregious since this happened mere days after the Treaty with Abington to limit the war to only Norland and Minas Ithil forces.

In response to our King's letter Sordnaz replied with the following:

My men where simply strolling along the river and due to bad communication some went over a bridge when they found one, just lucky that it wasnt filled with nasty MI soldiers as they would surely have attacked my men without asking. No harm done and I have used my power to override any unclear order given by the general, in other words my men will stroll on the right side of the river without tresspassing into any disputed regions or into a battle with MI nobles.

The answer I got from one viking was that he saw the federated banner on the south side of the bridge and as orders were he was allowed to go there, when the order was issued winwich was under the MI banner...

Sordnaz Dictator of Barony of Makar, Duke of Sale, Marshal of the Makarian Peace Corps.

Two days after this letter was sent some Barony troops remain in Winwich.
