The Mad Lady

Passion and Time

Having fled from home some 7 years ago, when she was only 13 years of age, Faralai has instilled in her a powerful sense of independence augmented by the fiery passion that drives her onward. As a child, she was fascinated by talk of battles and death, and desired to be a knight when she came of age. However, the House of Vargas is old, and set in it's ways. When her father denied her the privilege of fighting alongside men in the battlefield, she rebelled against him and slipped out of her ancestral home to find her fortunes. Young and vulnerable, she quickly learned to survive the harshest of obstacles, and eventually found herself in the Far East, older, stronger, and ready to declare herself once more a Vargas. She did so, aligning herself with the nation of Sartania and its patron God of War.

Blood and Wine

Faralai has an intense passion about her, and it shows in everything she does. Her passionate and fiery nature is most evident in the heat of battle, when she is overwhelmed with fierce bloodlust and goes berserk. Always on the front line, she spurs her loyal soldiers to greater effort with her blind battle rage, filling them with a holy fervour as they believe her madness to be a gift from Sartan. She has learned to control this anger to a degree, and in the right situation, can use it with subtle and honed precision. She cannot control it in the heat of battle, and, indeed, even tournaments and honorable duels can set her off. Although this passion and bloodlust often gets her into trouble and dangerous situations, it has saved her from many a tight spot.

Career

Faralai recently swore allegiance to Sartania and the god Sartan, who she feels has been guiding her all her life, unknown to her until recently.
