Protests on Abusive Events in Coimbraheim

It is an astounding 20 pages long .doc file, mostly messages on the ruler channel I received through Foreign Affairs Group and comments from my fellow players, plus my conclusion on this matter. This is the best I could manage to sum up on what is wrong and should be redeemed by GMs as fast as they can. The file has been send to a moderator and hopefully will reach the hands of GMs soon. If you have something more to say, feel free to and them here on this page. -- Gsklee 2 October 2005 10:31 (CEST)

If you want someone to actually read it, perhaps presenting it in a format everybody can read would be a good idea. May I suggest PDF. --Kristian

Until I turn that into a .pdf have this one first if you do not use M$ products. It hurts eyes though. -- Gsklee 2 October 2005 11:55 (CEST)

Okay, you've certainly made an interesting case. Your major problem seems to be the fact that Bergelmir got stripped and that Paris got elected. I believe, (but have no idea, just using logic) that when more then one or two OOC ban's are made, the game sends a message to the Titans to investigate. It is possible that this is what happened.
As far as Paris getting elected and then banning people, that is what happens when coup's happen. Paris joined the realm with legal IG methods. Paris got elected with IG methods. True, he probably shouldn't have used the "protest" option to lower the General's Prestige, but it's not like he hacked the server and lowered it that way. SO far, he's technacally in the right. Once Paris got elected, he can ban whomever he likes, by whatever IG reason he wants. Everytime Rulers switch IRL, their policies change, Paris's bannings are the same thing. And his reasoning, "the times have changed, time for you to leave" ban is perfectly resonable. They where enemies of what he though the realm should do and he had the power to enforce his view of the realm should do. Marc J.
More than that. My urges:
1. The ban issued by Paris that kicked Bergelmir the Fearless out of Coimbraheim should be reverted. It was a direct cause of a bug.
No problems here by all people I believe. But irreparable damages on the game have been done; if Bergelmir the Fearless was not banned bacause of this bug, he should still be in Coimbraheim and given the fact now Paris is wounded and out of duty, Bergelmir the Fearless should have the chance to be re-elected just now.
2. The punishment issued by GMs that stripped away the rulership of Bergelmir the Fearless should be reverted. It was not his original idea. Or, the same punishment should be given to Paris by GMs, for the reason I have stated above.
Yes, I am new and I do not know that GMs will be contacted when OOC bans are issued. But a vet like Lysander who even claimed he has done OOC banning before should know about this fact. Yet he suggested (in fact I would like to say "seduced" but this will be a POV for sure) Bergelmir the Fearless to issue OOC bans several times, without informing him the risk behind such action. Now let us spare the part of Lysander; like I have said, Bergelmir the Fearless did not issued OOC bans in a rush decision. He first sought helps on the ruler channel, then he adopted a suggestion from a vet player. He did not do this without discretion. His punishment, if there is any, should be lightened. I can just say Bergelmir the Fearless is not as smart as Paris, did not issue IC bans like "fail to following orders in critical moment of the realm, blah-blah-blah," or he will be all fine by now. -- Gsklee 3 October 2005 15:06 (CEST)
I don't know how much you know about Oligarch/Coimbrahelm/Fontan, but even if Paris hadn't of taken power then, he would have gotten it eventually. Don't believe me? Check Bergelmir's status. It'll be a wonder if he manages to make it off the continent in a month. Oligarch has a couple of highly trained Infils and one of their main tasks has been to make sure Bergelmir stays wounded. Paris shouldn't have done it the way he did and he got his account deleted because of it, but it is naive to think that Oligarch would allow Coimbrahelm to stay alive. Bergelmir did his damage and he's paying the price - being wounded at every turn.Marc J. 10 October 2005 09:25 (CEST)

We lost the communications with B the Fearless soon after Paris took throne, his whereabouts is never known to us again. I say it will be more humanistic if you just arrest him and put him onto the hanger instead of wasting so much time on him... but that is not something I could decide LOL -- Gsklee 10 October 2005 11:03 (CEST)

Yeah, I'm sure if we ever capture him, he'll be executed, but we've got some other things to worry about, namely Fontan. Lol, if you can get Fontan to leave, I can make sure we finally deal with Bergelmir. --Marc J. 10 October 2005 11:13 (CEST)

LOL, cannot help on this. You have to talk to our libidinous Chancellor. -- Gsklee 10 October 2005 12:01 (CEST)
