Devona kept her focus on the battlefield ahead. Oritolon and Lukon banners blended in a sea of gold, red, blue and black over the hilltop as the wind whipped them into a flapping frenzy. Her armour clanked gently against her leg as she walked, and the lack of dug-in trenches made her well aware that this was their first offensive foray against the arrogant, self-serving priests. Her hand tightened momentarily on her axe. "For Democracy! For Freedom! For Oritolon!"

Devona was raised by her father, who was a respected Knight that lived his life according to a strict code of chivalry. He instilled in her that honour must be her guide for life's decisions. She often repeats her fathers teachings in conversation. Devona is slightly spoilt, used to getting her own way and strong willed. Some would say she is fearless, although it could sometimes be better described as over-confident. Although she has a strong foundation of battle tactics from her father's lessons, she is young and sometimes naive. Her father is the only family member she knows. She does not know the other Uceek's nor how she is related to them. Devona was appointed as Marshal of the Oritolon army, and in October 2007 she was made General.
