As Danzi moved down the dark, unused ally her breath was quiet and even and her body moved with a highly trained ease that left no trace of her passing.

As she rounded the corner she paused briefly at a negligible movement of deep breathing coming from the heaviest shadows. Staying still for several minutes focusing on the dark she began to make out a hidden human form. Shivering slightly she moved up behind the sleeping figure. Although the man was completely concealed in black, she recognised instantly a Taselak infiltrator.

Gripping the smooth handle of her dagger, her stomach anguished with guilt. Momentarily she considered waking him so that they could met in an honourable match, but she reminded herself that he wouldn't show her the same courtesy.

Pushing the dagger with determination deep into his back, she felt the warm gush of blood hitting her hand and heard the strange gurgle as he briefly woke before going back into a deeper sleep. Turning quickly she disappeared silently from the region, the dull moonlight revealing a smile of new found pleasure playing across her face.

12/3/07 - Retho (repeatedly in Falens)

Roleplay by Danzi

Sneaking silently behind the sleeping man, Danzi held her deadly blade level and moved silently to strike. As she lunged quietly forward the man turned and raised his blade.

Shocked Danzi parried his blade and slashed across his chest desperately. The man held his wounded chest, but gazed directly at the her - she had been spotted. Turning, she disappeared quickly out the back of the tent. Retho must've learnt a bit since the last time she had visited him.

11th March 2007 - rogue Kanuni

Roleplay from Danzi

Danzi's blade reflected dangerous in her hand. Motionlessly she watched the man outside his tent, his head hanging almost sadly, his mop of dark hair falling to hide his face. His six battered men, lounged around the perimeter of the camp, nothing to be concerned about.

Creeping slowly forward, her heart began to beat in anticipation. As she rounded the tent and stood silently behind the man, she noticed something was not right. The Taselak emblem had been stricken from his shield and clothing.

Her instinct told her that it was unlikely the High Priest and elite Army Marshal had been removed with purpose from his realm, it was surely the work of the Gods. Not wanting interfere in matters dealing with higher beings, she lowered her blade quietly and returned silently to the shadows within the trees. There would be other opportunites.

You were attacked! (just in) As you go to bed, you spot a dark figure hiding in the shadows. No sooner have you drawn your sword and readied yourself for combat, as the infiltrator attacks. You can parry most of his attacks, but he gets to you once, wounding you. Fortunately, nearby guards arrive before he can finish the job. The guards are unable to prevent his escape.

Danzi gingerly dragged herself into a sitting position upon a pile of old blankets in an abandoned warehouse within Taselak city. She had managed to stumble here and treat her wounds before falling unconscious yesterday.

Gently lifting her top she winced slightly as she slowly unwound the bandage to look at the jaggered red wound on her torso. Touching the wound tenderly, she then let her fingers trail further around to the wound from two days ago, which was also still fiery red and sore to the touch.

Slowly lowering her top to cover them both again, she laid back with a sigh. She was starting to feel a bit unwelcome in Taselak city. Allowing her eyelids to flutter shut she smirked with satisfaction at the memories of the past week. As she slowly rolled to get comfortable she thought to herself, 'what did two new scars matter, compared to the fun she'd had'.

Within the Royal Palace in Taselak, the servants are bustling around. The King is not in the city at the moment and they are more relaxed in their busy schedule of cleaning and maintaining the Palace.

Danzi, wearing a neat maid uniform, moves undetected through the solid building. Pondering what mischief she should do, she spies the throne room door slightly ajar. Slipping into the empty room, steps up the little podium to King Cronos' throne.

Allowing herself a bit of fun she sits into the high backed, ornate chair and begins to mimic how she would imagine the Taselakian King. The alert assassin could feel something protruded into her back through the cushions, and reached behind to bring out a large flask of alcohol. Reaching further into the hiding spot, she found a crumpled collectors edition of "Wenches gone Wild", the one with the triple sized sketch in the middle.

Taking the book to the Royal scribes desk, Danzi used the quill and ink to add facial hair, spiky eyebrows and devil horns to all the woman on the parchment pages. Finally reaching the end of the book she signed her name, with a flourish and small picture of a dagger.

Humming a happy tune, she left the Taselak palace with a grin.

Danzi's meditation was interrupted with shouts and cheers from the main road. Coming to the end of the ally, she watched a tall, grizzled Knight sauntering down the street with only his scribe for company. Now there goes an easy target, she murmured to herself.

As more people begun hailing him, she heard shouts of "Long Live the King", "Good King Cronos". The man waved with good nature, but he didn't carry the arrogance Danzi expected of royalty. So this was the almighty King Cronos.

"i do not pretend to see myself above any of my nobles and therefore will let your infiltrators take a free shot"

"As you wish Your Highness", she murmured, allowing her daggers to slip easily into her hands.

Creeping forward, Sheldar's firm warning went through her mind,

"You are not to attack the General and King"

Fighting her conscience she maintained that King Cronos asked for it, offered it. Dagger outstretched, this time Maximus' voice spoke to her,

"At the Moment... I Trust cronos Much More than Averyll..."

This voice softened her determination. Change was nigh, enemies and friends weren't so clear anymore. Perhaps she didn't need to take up King Cronos' offer of a free shot afterall. Putting away her dagger, she had a little business to attend to before returning to Sandalak city.
