A New Ruler to Serve The Democracy

After a long debate on the controversial approach Lucifer Jr. adopted on Democratic issues, elections took place for third time within the month in Kalmar. Lucifer Jr with much honor decided to step down and resign himself from the elections. In his final speech he commented:

"I have tried to bring more good than bad to our Realm and I think that I have succeeded. Unfortunately though, some people never learn to leave personal disputes aside and cooperate for a better tomorrow. No matter what most of you think, I am a Honourable man and I will not besmirch my political opponents in the way that they have done to me. There are many things that you are not aware of, not regarding the diplomatic talks, but regarding internal disputes and arguments. Perdan was seeking for an excuse and I am sure that I am not the one to be blamed. Another council member has given them the excuse they needed, but no matter what, I shall step down in order not to drag you down due to the personal disputes. Honourably, Lucifer Jr

Election Results

(11-23-06)

Donna Ragna was elected as ruler with 34 votes (55.7 %).
Kamenos who was elected next day as Judge as the Kalmarian Democratic Constitution frobids from a single individual to hold two positions at a time, received the 16.4 % of the votes
while Kolya the 13.1 %
Tilan, Brottor, Jonkvrouw and Chi'n received between 3 and 5% of the voters' support.

Calling for Peace in Vain... again

Lady Donna Ragna, shortly after elected she tried to approach the rulers in another plea for peace.

"Rulers of the Continent,

The warmongering ruling class of Sirion and Old Rancagua and their cowardly invading troops controlled from Dekion, Handow and their gang, say Kalmar Democracy and Avamar Selective were canned for crying “Peace!” in a peaceful continent.

Rulers, Nobles, Lords and Citizens of East Continent, this word for the Kalmarian people has a very specific meaning. It means what it means. It means “Peace”. For Old Rancaguan leadership it means “Greed”. It means expansion, it means a puppet colony. For Sirion, peace, means “Control”. Controlling Old Rancagua and through her the Islands.

But through me, the islanders will continue crying “Peace”! Peace to every crowd of Nobles I can find, until the expansionists’ armies are driven away from the Island Realms. The invaders can take down the elected Kalmarian officials. And they have done that as you know. They can take away our food and our gold. And they have done that as you know.

And when, Mother Earth forbid, Old Rancagua and Sirion take over the islands, their storm troopers can lock me and my people away in a dungeon to shut us up. And they will do that too as you know. They can even lock your people away, to shut them up. And I hope by now that you damn well know that after us, it’s someone else’s turn.

But what Old Rancaguans and Sirionites can not take away, is our deep and honest love for these Islands. What they can not take away is your love for your land. Our love for Democracy. Our love for Independence and yours. Our love for Freedom and yours.

What they can not take away, unless the gullible and the sheepish and the terrified are patsies enough to follow them one more time, is the power to resist. The ORan and Sirionite plot against the Islands must be stopped. And stopped by you. By you Rulers and Citizens of this Continent. By the power of the freedom loving People, of your great realms.

Rulers of the Continent, enemies and friends alike, I would appreciate it if you’d forward this to your nobles. This is a plea for Peace, and I think some of your nobles would be interested in listening to the Kalmarian point of view. It is your choice though.

Old Rancaguan Press is Back

After some months of inactivity the Old Rancaguan press is back at work. We gladly noticed that they haven't lost their sense of humor as they propose: "every single Avamarian leaves the Isles, then peace can be achieved" As it is them "who continue this war and cause the deaths of so many valiant men and women!".

As a reply and an addition to this very fruitfull debate that Old Rancagua initiated, we bring forward another plan:

"Every single Old Rancaguan warmongering noble, remove his blindfolds and finally reply to a peace proposal accordingly and not with war and battle cries. Those that still sabotage any peace negotiations, must leave the Continent at once. Then within only few days we will have achieve a peace treaty that will bring prosperity to the Island Realms and to Old Rancagua."
