The Church of Qyrvagg/Epistle Regarding Other Religions

Greetings, members of the Church of Qyrvagg

I place this adress as "orders" to make sure you notice it; it is very important.

After much consideration, prayer, and discussion, I, under the guidance of Qyrvagg, the Elders Council, and the Church as a whole, have come to a decision regarding our recent troubles.

All troubles which come are way are either created by humans, or sent by Qyrvagg, or a combination. This is one which I believe Qyrvagg created, and used humans as tools in, such as Delvin, or even the Yggdrasili (though that does not legitimatize Yggdrasili). 4In all conflict, we will either perish, or grow stronger, this one is no different. I believe we CAN grow stronger, and we WILL. 5I have made the decision which I believe will best benefit the Church, but, most importantly, is TRUEST.

We have, for the past few months, viewed all foreign religions as evil. This, I believe, will have to stop.

Some have voiced concerns (both publicly and privately) that this is allowing Riombara to dictate our doctrines; I say otherwise. You see, Qyrvagg has used Riombara as a means to show us the truth; the error of our ways. 8There was no vision which decreed that all other religions were inherently evil, and no part of the Triatome says so either. 9It is only in the Epistles, which are not infallible, that we find such things, and in our public teachings.

You see, in all of the Visions, Qyrvagg has showed that he cares deeply and personally about humanity and the Church, 11but he has never expressed hatred or despisement of other religions. Yes, they are wrong, some wildly and totally wrong, some not. Then, there were some religions which are in fact in line with Qyrvaggism, such as the Path of the Great Dragon.

The DOCTRINES of many religions are evil. That is to say, in the example of Yggdrasili, Zisa and Tyr are evil. But the followers are not. The followers are merely misled, they are being fooled, 13and as the Church of Qyrvagg, we should battle however we need to to show them the TRUTH. There is no cause to kill them, when we can convert them, and strengthen the Church as well as weaken foreign religions.

Now then, we come to a "gray area". What of the LEADERS of a religion which misleads and decieves many (likely unconsciously)? Those leaders are close to evil, they come dangerously near the line of unsaveability, but do not cross it.

We have among our number one who was once EXCOMMUNICATED (TWICE actually) and STRICKEN BY LIGHTNING FROM QYRVAGG (OOC- NOT Tom's lightning, but RPed lightning). Yet he is among us now, because he has been forgiven, and has been a great asset and Prophet in the past, he is my half brother, Hireshmont. 16We ALSO have among our number one who was once an ENEMY of the Church; who slandered it, pillaged a temple, and fought to squelch the Church. 17Yet he is among us now, and is a friend and fellow believer, welcomed here! He is Rah, and we do not see him as an enemy any more.

It is in the same way that we should view OTHER Apostate, the leaders of foreign religions (again, because I am familiar with the example of Yggdrasili, I shall use the Yggdrasili example of Lady Agaresh and Quinn). Yes, they are Apostate and, if they do not convert, will suffer eternally after death.

But while they still live (and we will NOT try to make them die unnaturally early either) why should we hate them? By no means! Instead, let us try and convert them. Let us reach out with our left hand and take hold, while our right hand bears the Blacksword to ward against HERESY, NOT HERETICS.

Yes, heretics should be excommunicated, and will continue to be excommunicated. But even the WORST of heretics is redeemable: for they are still human and, thus, are part of the humanity which Qyrvagg has blessed. 21Those who still breath are redeemable.

And that is why we abhor death! Yes, we love battle, we love the CONTEST, we love the TRIAL, we love the CONFLICT, we love to see the mighty glorified, and the weak shamed (for in being shamed, they may be motivated to change their ways). But that is also why we regret and mourn the casualties. 23It is good to enjoy battle! It is wrong to enjoy killing.

Those who are Apostate we should mourn all the more when they die; for they have recieved judgement and shall have eternal punishment! 25Those who merely follow the Apostate shall simply have oblivion, an end, but the Apostate shall have no end; they shall have eternal punishment, while the Church has eternal bliss.

There is another issue we must cover! Long ago, the realm of Valentia, and by connection the Valentic Order, harrassed us and was a foe to us; and perhaps they still are, no, for sure, they are. But EVEN THEY shall not be declared evil. Why? Because our teachings say to not seek revenge! 27Qyrvagg shall take his justice in eternity; we need not seek to kill them in this life.

We shall declare no religion evil, except in spectacular circumstances. All religions are from this day forward either misguided or variant (PGD being the only variant). These are the words Qyrvagg, spoken by voice of Amekal Amekanun, Grand Prophet of Qyrvagg, Third in the Line of Prophets.
