BREAKING NEWS: TARA BETRAYED BY ABINGTON

Abbington and their allies are preparing to attack Tara claimed the Tara Times today, it appears that the Gabriel king of the Abingtoninas made the idiotic mistake of mis-addressing a message concerning his attack plans and sent it to Tara! Many Taran nobles were shocked by this treachery whilst nobles of ASI are little surprised by further deceit n the part of Gabriel who is still showing no sign of keeping his promise about abdicating when the war with ASI was over.

BREAKING NEWS: CARELIA DEFEATED

While peace was being discussed Carelia troops embarked upon a sneak attack on Ser'quea. However they made the elementary mistake of sending a small force against our main army! It was of little surprise to many ASI nobles to whom the battle was more of a training session.

END OF WAR IN SIGHT!

There was jubilation amongst the war weary populace today as the king announced that the only thing stopping the end of the war was a delay while a treaty was agreed with Redspan. In the treaty it appears that ASI will retain current territories with ownership of Ash'rily being a big question mark. It is expected that as soon as peace is declared we will go to help our northern allies.

DEBATE OVER PEACE RAGES IN ASI

The issue of peace with Abington was being fiercley debated in ASI this evening with arguents both for and against being proposed. The general feeling was that any peace now would be a stop-gap giving us a breathing space before making major decisions about our future. This newspaper advocates peace since at our present strength we have little chance of winning. It is at times such as these that we must remember the old saying: "He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day."

BREAKING NEWS: ABINGTON TAKES OVER ASH'RILY

It is a sad day for the Ash Sea Islands as our beloved city was taken over by Abington, despite the natural blow that came from the loss of Ash'rily no-one was surprised as one noble put it in a way we should be glad the people of Ash'rily did not expose themselves to even more suffering by resisting longer this will come as no surprise to our readers who will know that the takeover of Ash'rily was accompanied by savage and widespread looting. On the positive however the Ash Sea Islands takeover of Yacon is proceeding smoothly.

BREAKING NEWS: VICTORY IN YACON!

This just in Ash Sea Islander troops with Minas Ithil allies have just won a victory against Abington forces in Yacon. This victory is an indication that the tide has started to turn and despite a brutal attempt at a takeover by Abington forces Ash'rily still remains loyal and with a takeover of Yacon initiated the Ash Sea Islands is back on the attack. God save the Ash Sea Islands Empire!

BREAKING NEWS: ORGY OF DESTRUCTION IN ASH'RILY

Looting has escalated in severely in the stricken city with reports of more occurences constantly coming in. There will be no peace, our troops will free Ash'rily and avenge these crimes against us by these lowlifes. Forward!

KING SPEECHLESS WITH RAGE

This is the latest statement from the king: RedSpan...Abbington...maybe even Carelia will soon join in on the pillaging...son of a...how dare they do that! We have never looted or pillaged anyone...we will not stoop. Those bastards want to kill our peasants...so be it...just wait until our troops arrive...

STATEMENT FROM THE KING

what follows is a statement from the king concerning the fall of Ash'rily

Today is a sad day indeed. The Abbies have shown their hollowness and weaknesses by calling upon the forces of Carelia and RedSpan to do their bidding. We may have lost that battle, but we won the War...we have proven to the world that we did not give in to these oppressors willingly, and we did best Abbington in Ashrily. Battles outside of Ashrily would not have been possible without the aid of Minas Ithil, so we have them to thank as well...MI sends half of her army to us, and the other half to Falasan....so we do not accept nearly as much help as Abbington does, and we only have 1/3 the income they do...so yeah...talk about "compensating" eh? Those poor lads...I do wonder...

Anyways. Be strong, my fierce warriors. Our General lays wounded, but Duke Wallace does not. He will do what he can...I am sure...all our forces are to rally in Yacon...our General should be back next turn to give orders, but if he isnt, I will be here to march you all foward.

Ashrily is not yet lost, everyone. It damned well looks that way, but the city is not yet lost! Numbers do not determine battles, WARRIORS do! Given that numbers help a damned lot, but now we must become more than we are...and shock the world with yet another victory against overwhelming odds...

BREAKING NEWS: ABINGTON THUGS LOOT ASH'RILY

Thugs from Abington are looting our capital stealing food, gold and even family pets. Thirteen incidences of this dishonourable activity have already occured. All evidence indicates that the looting is actually permitted and possibly supported by the Abington and RedSpan government. Such actions despicable and are only advocated by the lowest criminals and rogues. These terrible acts must and will be avenged, the Ash Sea Island Empire will strike back!

Terrible news this report has just arrived: Battle in Ash'rily Abington, Carelia, RedSpan vs. Ash Sea Islands Estimated combat strengths: 38000 CS vs. 15000 CS

fangdor (Noble) (Abington) was captured by Ash Sea Islands forces.

Stephaen (Knight of Anchorinn) (Abington) was captured by Ash Sea Islands forces.

Jonn (Knight of Ser'quea) (Ash Sea Islands) was captured by Abington forces.

Sir Mr. (Knight of Webgard) (Abington) was captured by Ash Sea Islands forces.

Cadogan of Ash Sea Islands (Ash Sea Islands) was seriously wounded.

Loki (Knight of Riverholm) (Abington) was captured by Ash Sea Islands forces.

Epaminonda, Baron of Jauchu (Ash Sea Islands) was captured by Abington forces.

William of Ash Sea Islands (Ash Sea Islands) was seriously wounded.

Despite being outnumbered at over three-to-one ASI defenders put up a valiant defense worthy of remembrance. As of yet there has been no statement from the king and we await with baited breath. However on the positive side we are no longer burdened with having to defend a city which is surrounded and are now able to prepare a fresh assault. In the end this newspaper is sure ASI will triumph and will reclaim its capital.

BREAKING NEWS: MINISTER OF FINANCES

Adam, the Minister of Finances of the Cagilan Empire, Marquis of Trassing was attacked and left seriously wounded by an assasin during a business trip to ASI. Zadar Nargath, Prime Minister of the Cagilan Empire has vowed that the realm responsible for the dastardly sneak attack will be dealt with. As a large number of infiltrators in ASI are from Abington popular rumour indicates them as the assasin, however there is no substantial evidence behind this rumour. Aside from the dreadful fact of the assasination ASI is suffering due to the fact that Adam had 700-800 bushels of ASI food in his caravans.
