The House of Teodoro-Wolf ~ Origins

The Teodoro-Wolf family is originally from Aegir's Deep, on the continent of Dwilight. The family rose to prominence During the time of The Raivan Empire's succession from Springdale, from ignoble roots. Finally becoming recognised as a true noble house with rise of Xinhai's influence in Aegir's Deep

The House of Teodoro-Wolf, can trace its origins to the great Aegir merchant house of Teodoro, and more accurately the last daughter of that line Amelia Teodoro, the only member of the family who survived the great riots in the merchant quarter caused by agitators from the newly succeded state of Virovene.

Amelia, 14 at the time, witnessed her family murdered, by rioting soldiers who turned their attentions to her with further amusements in mind. Fortunately for Amelia, it was at this time a veteran archer in service to Duke Edward Raiva chose to intervene. The only record of what took place can be found in a letter sent to Duke Raiva by a healer, containing the last words of one of those soldiers.

"A demon, he must have been, five of us fell at the same time, no man could of put five arrows in the air at the same time. Forty of us, and I was the last to fall, I tell you there was only one man, a demon."

A footnote in the archives of Duke Raiva, tell us that an Archer, named only Wolf, a peasant by all accounts, although none could say for sure. Was shortly after this night granted full parden, although there is no record of what for, and discharged from service to Aegir with an award of land in Aegir's deep. The official records of the riots list the Teodoro merchant family as having been all killed.

Two years pass before either Amelia or Wolf are heard of again, for with the succession from Springdale of the Reivan Empire new soldiers are needed to keep the peace. To the shock of nobles of Aegir's deep, a young woman, barely sixteen years age, and obviously pregnant, appears claiming to be the Matron of the House of Teodoro-Wolf, and pledges a unit of archers to assembled nobles led by a man in his late forties, who's men refereed to him simply as The Wolf. Over the following years the Wolf Guard, as this unit is Known fought the length of the Empire, noted again and again for its ability and bravery, but eventually falling to the last man.

It was decided that for services to Aegir's Deep by the Wolf Guard that the young Widow, Amelia Teodoro-Wolf, Should be treated, and given all the respects of a noble for so long as she should live. But as we know politics is a dangerous place and noble families of Aegir's Deep changed, but the House of Teodoro-Wolf remained, and today is considered a noble house, because everyone agrees it is.
