Her time in Sirion

letter of introduction

(Personal message to Serria S. Blakeshadow)

Dear Lady Serria,

My father is a merchant, so are my other family members. Most of them have lived their whole lives in our native land. Centuries ago our people have been subjected to the emperial rule of an evil Tirany. Therefor many of us became reduced to wandering clans. My family long trived as merchants. As my fathers daughter, I have been stripped of all my rights in the empire. But among my people, I have an equal status with the men of our clan. The cruelty that I try to escape, braught me here. I am new to this life as a noble. Therefor could you inform me? Is this estate of Sunset Harbor, my own? Or do I share this with others? Could you also point out to me my responsabillities as an noble?

I am open to all advice and tutoring?

With Friendly Regards, from lady Sorcha

(Personal message to Aednadh Dubhaine)

Dear Lady Aednadh Dubhaine,

Recently I have arrived, in the republic of Sirion. I come from a different world, and I am not yet sure of whats expectted from me as an noble. My family is a merchants family for generations. The wealth of my father suports my journey here, to start my adult live as a noble of Sirion.

It is late, the hour upon which that I send this letter. I will beg your ladyships forgiveness, as I have just arrived by boat in Sunset Harbor. Immediatly there is a question that came to my mind! I have been told that Sunset Harbor has become my estate? Does this mean, that I own it? I only inquired for a house for sale, I had no idea it came with an estate! Offcourse, I will do my best to manage it to the best of my abillity.

Your loyal vassal, Lady Sorcha Sorcha Mac tuath ònar ban-dia Dame of Blaastambar

Letter from Serria S. Blakeshadow

Welcome to Sirion, Fledgling Lady Sorcha!

I am Serria Serpentis Blakeshadow, Daughter of former Prime Ministers Rugina Blakeshadow and Erik Eyolf Serpentis, General of Sirion, And Dragon Princess of Avamar. It is a pleasure to meet you.I look forward to getting to know you better, madam.

I will gladly answer any questions you may have, so do not hesitate to reply.

Again, Welcome to the Elven Empire!

Letter from Aednadh Dubhaine

Dame Sorcha,

The estate is indeed yours for as long as you choose to dwell there. It comes with a modest stipend which should be between 70 and 80 gold per week, sufficient to maintain a company of troops. You'll also receive two bags of gold from your family over the next week which you should save against future contingencies. Aednadh Dubhaine Countess of Blaastambar

Getting to know her place in the realm

(Personal message to Serria S. Blakeshadow)

Mylady general Serria,

Its my understanding that I have been placed in Sunset harbor, to do my best as its caretaker. Also that my duty is to support mylady Aednadh, in her care for Blaastambers security. That I have been placed in the Army, is to my understanding - for the reason to keep safe the people of Sirion.

I hope I'm doing alright as a noble lady, but I'm sure I will be corrected when wrong?

With friendly regards, Dame Sorcha

Letter from Serria S. Blakeshadow

Madam,

Sunset Harbor is your Liege's property. However it is afforded to you, just as every amount of training of basics and some advanced knowledge is for friendly exchange. You'd agree it is a less hostile trade then in that of your old life of mercantile, yes? Currently as a Knight of your Lady Aednadh, you are to serve her command. If she places you in an army, you are to obey the respective orders.

Equality, Human or Elf. Man or Woman. Everyone has free speech here, to the respectful and civil standard. You can find most of what you seek in the realm's number of bulletins. Keep in mind, if you fear something is a mistake, just ask. You will not be scorned for seeking the proper manners, Madam.

As towards tutoring or general advice, it depends heavily on what you wish to seek out of your life. I will help you in what I can, and that which I cannot... I could give you the address and names of individuals who can. Though those sides of the coin are by far, more grim in essence. Being open to all is a nice open minded approach, however it will be difficult to make progress without a focus.

Message sent to all nobles in the region Domus (33 recipients)

Good noble lords and ladies,

My name is Sorcha, dame of Blaastamber from the duchy of Slimbar. I have seen many noble lords and ladies. I even heard of some of you, while passing trough your regions. My question before you - who was the noble radiant person, who appeared next to our prime minister of Sirion? At the banquette tonight, I would like an introduction to these lords and ladies of the kingdom of Caligus.

Respectfully, and with kind regards, Dame Sorcha Sorcha Mac tuath ònar ban-dia Dame of Blaastambar

(Personal message to Cuthbert II Von Ulthuan) Your Majesty,

Your royal highness, I would join you on a boar hunt, if not for the fact that I would prefer to capture the wild beast alive, and take it back home with me as a ladies pet.

With respectfull greetings to your majesty, from dame Sorcha, of Blaastamber in the republic of Sirion.

We leave at sunset. Boars make for poor pets, they are dirty and untameable. I prefer horses and hounds, fine and noble beasts. If you like you can take a pup back to you, the royal kennels are master breeders, a finer hound you will not find. Cuthbert II Von Ulthuan King of Caligus Royal of Caligus

Your highness,

It will be a great honor to accept from your kennel, a puppy. My men will remain here, in Domus city, myself howver will join you in the boar hunt. I shall bring my bow and arrows.

Report from Sorcha Mac tuath ònar ban-dia (Personal message to Sophia Bouvier)

Mylady Marshal,

My troops are pressent at the Marshals call. However the king extended a personal request for me to attend his hunt. I have given my messenger and scribe instructions to contact me as soon as your orders call for my pressence back in Domus. To prevent the king Cuthbert II of Caligus, from becoming even more overwelmed by feelings of insult, to our fair realm. I have not rejected his request of my pressence.

I take my horse and bow to the hunt. However, I shall return well before dawn.

with respectfull regards, your loyal retainer, Dame Sorcha of Blaastamber Sorcha Mac tuath ònar ban-dia Dame of Blaastambar

The new realm Vix Tiramora

Request from Sorcha Mac tuath ònar ban-dia

(Personal message to Sophia Bouvier)

Dear Marshal,

Your ladyship, I have been loyal following the army. I am in unfamilliar territory. When I was in Caligus kingdom, it was not clear to me what we where doing out there. At first I thought, that the army was going to lay seige to Domus city. Then when we entered and our prime minsiter was so friendly with his majesty king Cuthbert II - I thaught we where there as allies protecting them. But now, the army has been orderd to enter rebel lands of Ubent. This while I was under the impression that we where here to protect Caligus from them. Then our general passed me shouting all hail, to the rebels.

I am confused, mylady! Its no longer clear to me, why we are here. Therefor I write this letter to you, as a request to further enlighten us of our situation? I see no need in further secrecy around what is obvious now. But the question will lead to speculation, unless we receive some clearification from you, mylady?

Respectfully yours, Dame Sorcha from Blaastamber. Sorcha Mac tuath ònar ban-dia Dame of Blaastambar

Protect our new friends, they need us! As Perdan is already astir over the new realm! We fight for their freedom! For their new Democracy!

While we have yet to see a declared war, if they bring battle to the new realm... I promise there will be one!

Caligus,

We thank you for your hospitality. I enjoyed my stay, in earnest.

Sirion,

About Vix Tiramora, they are a new democracy. And they are lead by a man we fought before, living in land's Perdan considers theirs.

And that is all I've come to know at the moment. As Sirion is, we are Just. We do what we feel is fair and try to solve conflicts. It is in our nature, as successful survivors to aid others trying to survive. We are preemptive with our kindness, The council gave an offer to defend the fledgling realm so they can build their government without fear of being repressed by their natural enemies.

We will see if they are thankful, but I try not to expect it. The first act of kindness is free. We will see if they wish to be friends with us. We made our first impression, and they will make theirs when they establish their government.

In regards to our recent peace treaty with Vix Tiramora, for now, it is a temporary peace required to perform our mission of providing them with initial protection for a short period to enable them to establish their government and diplomacy in relative safety. It will be up to them to demonstrate the relationship they want to establish with our realm once our armies depart their lands. Until such time, everyone that will be in Vix Tiramora or Caligus lands are ambassadors essentially. Our allies and this new realm will see the words and actions that come from each of you and will be the impression they have of Sirion. Everyone always has a pre-existing perception of Sirion... it is the nature of things. We are the largest and most successful realm on the continent. Most people that are not allied to us probably have a poor perception of us, sometimes not even to our own fault. It is far easier to blame everyday problems on others, and in our current position, we fit the bill for being such a scapegoat very well. At one point, we fought the entire continent... and by the way, we won. So while that feeling probably exists out there, it is first person interaction that can break down stereotypical barriers and give an impression of who we really are. It is up to each of you to accomplish this mission as you execute your own specific orders. I can accomplish a great deal as Sirion's face of diplomacy, but my communications are usually limited to a little over a half dozen people in most cases. While they are important people, public perception is a vital element of all diplomacy.

Back to the issues between Vix Tiramora and Perdan... in all likelihood, it appears that once we leave, these two realms will go to war with one another. We have a rare opportunity to influence an area of conflict before it happens, and with it, the chance to help these realms find some common ground in how they will fight this apparently inevitable war. Our presence is important, and it is thanks to the excellent response across the armies that we now have such opportunities. Good work everyone, and let's make a strong and positive showing. Guards of Ubent Castle?!

My name is Sorcha Mac tuath ònar ban-dia! I am a knight of Blaastamber, in the duchy of Slimbar! My lord prime minsiter Ecthelion Tezokian, has ordered mylady, general Blakeshadow to send the Sirion armies down to Ubent Castle, as support to your new realm. I am here under the orders of Marshal Sophia Bouvier! Who sended us to Ubent castle. Mylady Marshal is as we speak, fighting the last of the monsters in the Bursa mountains!

Report from Sorcha Mac tuath ònar ban-dia

(Personal message to Sophia Bouvier)

Marshal, I beg to report to your, that I have spotted in Ubent region a spy from perdan. Possibly an Assasin send by Perdan to kill someone. I fear for the wel being of our ally king Cuthbert II, and the new government of Vix Tiramora. While going undercover, mixing with the locals. He had been spreading sadition among the locals. Filling their heads with nonsense, and trieng to get them rebelious against the new realm. Those undeath we faced. My artist Idhrendir, is an expert on ancietn history of this continent, and he comfirms that the symbols found on the undeath, are those of Perdan. But my healers comfirmed my suspicions, that for being undeath, they looked to much like fresh corpses. So my conclusion is, that they where peasants from Vix Teramora, who where radicalised, and turned against this realm. They where dressed up to look like undeath warriors from the past, to scare the locals into a different state of mind. The Perdanite has a name. He has been identified as Krabat van Belhanka, Knight of Perdan Mines. Several peasants recalled his name. He gave several of them promises unbehalve of the realm of Perdan. Idhrendir also told me, that the dies used to paint the coat of arms of Perdan on their undeath outfits, do not fit the times they where suposed to be from. Those dies only became available a few years back. The dieng technic used today to dies the coat of arms unto cloths is new. Which means it can only be recently produced outfits. Possibly Perdan military issued outfits. The old way was to stain cloth in a base collor, and then sticth the coath of arms on the uniforms. This according to Idhrendir, who also told me, that in the old day's, Perdan did not bother putting coat of arms on peasantry outfits, only on noblemen and shields. So it does not fit in with their story.

While walking trough the castle, I spotted a shady character snooping around the castle grounds. I have ordered his arrest. His name is Jean Hurlant - according to his claims. But I could not run the risk of letting him run around like this. Especialy when he is snooping around the castle.

I hope I have not done anything wrong with this. If I did, I will accept full resposabillity, and I appologise. It is in the best interests that I acted of our realm. Hopefully to the honor and glory of the Army of Sirion. My scribe left me the following on a note, afther I had arrested this Jean - if that is his real name. 'Your men spread out and quickly apprehend Jean. After some paperwork, he is off to our realms dungeons.'

May I pressent my scribes report? Might I direct your attention, please, to the bottom of my scouts report? This noble from Perdan Mines, I spotted him earlier this day disapearing in the woods. He is out there hiding.

I have also for mylady, marshal a report from myself on my undercover opperation - mixing among the peasants, and listening to how they realy feel about this realm. While they have fond words of Vix Tiramora, they rather like Perdan. All it takes is for them to turn against the city. I fear those mighty walls are useless, to an enemy from within.

Letter from Celine von Genf

Message sent to: Aednadh Dubhaine, Sorcha Mac tuath ònar ban-dia

Dame Sorcha,

I have received reports as to your activities in Domus. I will share these informations with the Executor of Vix Tiramore when time comes, but I must admit that I have doubts as to the conclusions you draw from your observations; your tale could be considered as outlandish.

I will free the adventurer you have arrested. He may well have been a spy, but we do not have to interfere in the affairs of other realms like so. Your presence in Domus is as part of an army. If you had received orders to investigate the area I would like to see them. Celine von Genf Judge of Sirion Duchess of Slimbar Margravine of Slimbar

(Personal message to Celine von Genf)

Mylady,

I am located under orders in Castle Ubent. I am not in Domus. King Cuthbert II is pressent in the same castle, as I and the other nobles are staying in. As guests of Vix Tiramora. As part of our lord prime minsiters mission to help protect the new realm from its enemies. This also means that if there is any treath to the government, by lets say an assisin. Then it would be against my our mission of protecting the new realm, if we would let an assassin walk around un-checked.

It has come to my attention that there have been two persons arrested by the name of Jean Hurtland. One in the castle by me, and the other one by the city guards. I left it up to you to decide who is who, and who is lieng.

The ruler of Vix Tiramora had graciously given lodging in the royal quarters to his majesty king Cuthbert of Caligus. The king is here as ally to the newly formed realm.

I do not know what your sources say - but it is important that you have all the evidence in your possesion so you can judge these matters. If the identity of this Jean has been vallidated by you, then it is right to release him. But I still wonder who was the other person in the castle.

respectfully, dame Sorcha Sorcha Mac tuath ònar ban-dia Dame of Blaastambar

Letter from Celine von Genf

Dame Sorcha,

You may be interested to know that I did interrogate Jean Hurlant, and although he denies everything, he preferred to pay his ransom rather than answer my questions, which I find very suspicious. If you find him again in your way you can arrest him again.

I have not been to ascertain for sure if he was the one you seeked first, or the second one you mentioned. Celine von Genf Judge of Sirion Duchess of Slimbar Margravine of Slimbar

The fine table she sets, would not tell how well she is at wielding that blade of hers. Even how she command her armies into battle with such a warrior spirrit, and still be such a fine lady. It amazed me even how such managed to look so fine to. An amazing lady. It makes me very curious to see you one day in person.

How ever I am making my way to Askileon Purlieus, to ask the local lord for an estate and thus home for my family.

She being as gentle as the peddles of a rose, and as fair to behold - if not for the thorns by which a rose is otherwise also known for. Mylady Bouvier, has not yet met her match in combat. Has she then finaly been undone in combat? Has the shield maiden of Sirion been vanquished by the noble house of the Silver Dragon?

I can still picture in my mind, her gentle female nature - by wich she set me the most beautyfull table one could behold. Yet when I saw her in combat, I would swear I saw a ladies fury at work, in the shape of the bravest among the amazons! Yet now I must say, misses Dragon Bouvier. Oh what a sight in combat she would be now! A Dragon Amazon!

Do come on over? Your allways welcome at the commandory of Askileon Gate! Just follow the main road to the silver city, and thou shall rrive at my keep. Do mind, the estate is undergoing some changes. Works are in progress.

I look foreward to greating you in my new home.

With friendly regards,

Dame Sorcha
