Smallwood Family/Philip/The Shipwreck
The Shipwreck
This was a public solo roleplay where Philip was escaping Libidizedd and shipwrecked off the coast of Eidulb on his way back to Golden Farrow.
Scene
After the battle in Libidizedd, Sir Philip got on the fastest boat to Eidulb he could find. Unfortunately, it wasn't terribly fast. Not only that, but upon its attempted landing in the harbor, a vicious storm shipwrecked it on the rocks.
Sir Philip woke up, on the beach in the harbor, somehow still alive even though slightly wounded. All of his men were gone, none survived the wreckage that he was aware. He had no recollection of much of anything, other than the feeling of being surrounded by water.
Over the course of the next few days, he started to travel south towards his estate in Golden Farrow. Traveling across terribly muddy roads, stuck behind caravans of donkeys unwilling to move, his progress was frustratingly slow. Finally, he arrived in Golden Farrow. Exhausted and looking (and smelling!) more like a peasant than a noble, he noticed a temple that he had never noticed before. As he got closer to it, he could hear what sounded like waves crashing on the sand off in the distance. Surely, he was going mad! Unable to resist, he went inside.
The dark colors of the temple stirred memories in him that he just couldn't place. He retreated far back into the depths of his consciousness, in an attempt to remember.
"Sir Philip! You're alive!" one of his servants cried from inside the temple, startling Sir Philip. "We haven't seen you in weeks! Come now, let's get you home, let's get you fixed right up!"
As Sir Philip was escorted by his servant to go home, he started to hear the sound of the waves crashing yet again. He shook his head, and the sounds went away. Maybe he was feeling vulnerable from his recent traumatic experience, or maybe he candle of faith was just lit - regardless, Sir Philip grabbed gold from his belt and left a large purse in the collection table, just before leaving and going home to finally get cleaned up and settle back into normal life, even if just for a few days
