Sir Facade Slaymaster - True Neutral Sirionite Warrior

Early History

The great great great great great great great great grandson of the legendary Slayer Slaymaster was born in Westmoor and was a minor nobility living in the poverty of Westmoor on 13 gold a week. With defeats after defeats as was the nature of the dysfunctional Westmoorian army of the time, he came back broke and with a few men. Unable to pay his men due to the requested gold from the army arriving late, he faced the inevitable dishonour of his men leaving him.

With no men and a few gold coins left, Sir Facade went to a dank tavern in small corner of Oligarch to drown his sorrows away from everybody. In his drunken state he accosted a commoner, a man of no importance and dirty beggar and laid the man in a heap from their arguments.

The next day Sir Facade awoke to find that Judge Gregor Relak had fined him 25 gold from the commotion of night before. Sir Facade thought he could take no more of the Westmoorian realm when a a dirty beggar would have greater rights than that of a noble, the living in the poverty of his measly income, the two weeks fines over his head and with no men to command. He could not bear to sit around for weeks to do nought except to pay the injustically issued fines and so he decided to join Sirion, the land of the elves, enemy of Westmoor and swore revenge against all thing Westmoorian from that day forward.

Sir Facade Slaymaster is also the Editor of the The Elven Chronicle, the number one selling newspaper in Sirion for all the monthly news and war reports.

Sir Sun Tzu Slaymaster - Chaotic Evil Talerium Warrior

Profile

The most aggressive and outspoken of the three brothers in the Slaymaster family. His hot temper and directness of his character got him into a lot of trouble during his earlier years. His temper tandem are legendary and would not care who he crosses once he is driven to anger. The strongest warrior of the three brothers, he expects total obedience to those under him by his fearsome nature and violent personality.

Early Years

Graduated from Sirion Military Academy with distinction, Sir Sun Tzu went to explore the world to find opportunities to progress in rank of the military. He found himself in Orc la Pesh and joined the Ibladesh Army almost immediately to satisfying his taste for warfare. Very soon after he devoted his life to Lord Sartan, the God of War and lives his life accordingly to the glory of Lord Sartan.

Exile from Ibladesh

Ibladesh has a ruling elite that holds power through majority of the ruling class having a family member in the realm as well as promoting only those that are malleable rather than those with ability. This meant that the military, though powerful due to the wealth of the realm, was extremely inefficient and badly commanded by those with low ability but glib with their tongues.

The inefficiency of the army had so irate Sun Tzu that he had clashed with many members of the military hierarchy over the course of the months he was there until it cumulated with the Marshal giving Sun Tzu an unreasonable order in order to bend his will.

There was only going to be one outcome when anybody tries to bend the will of the hot headed Sun Tzu.

Evil Revealed within the Ibladesh Church

Although, been banned from Ibladesh due to having disagreements with the Ibladesh hierarchy, Sun Tzu had still consisted himself to follow the Path of Lord Sartan. But when he was banned from Ibladesh, he was also banned from the Church to follow Lord Sartan.

It was only later that he found out the Ibladesh Church was only a means to control the nobles of the realm and when new colonies were to be established. The Church was merely a front for the state and had only used the names of Gods that had existed in far past as a means of political control. Once a noble is out of the state, no matter the strength of his religion, he would be kicked out since the religion was based on a political ideal rather than a religious ideal.

Sun Tzu intends to find out more about Lord Sartan some time and travel to NeoSartania where it is rumoured where true religion of Lord Sartan is practiced.

A New Chapter - Caligus

Sun Tzu travelled to Caligus at the behest of a local lord who asked him to join the realm. However, after a short time, he realised with his fiery personality, he would never be stay in a realm other than a republic since he is so outspoken and he sets off again to find a realm that he could call his home... A realm of hard men, hard spirit and preferably live in a desert.

A Even Newer Chapter - Talerium - the desert people.

The Tribal Rag is Sun Tzu's journal and experiences of his time in Talerium.

Turtle Slaymaster - Neutral Evil Beggar of the Barony of Makar

As the name suggested, Turtle Slaymaster acquired his nickname from his cowardice and meekness of his character. Tips:

  • Recruit troops at these number of men - 22, 29, 37, 49, 52, 62, 67, 69, 82, 85... (see link) for cheaper training cost. [1]
  • Best unit to recruit for warring is the cavalry. In open field battles, their charge bonus means they are the most effective troop types. For monster hunting and regional maintenance, archers units are best to take less casualties and cheap to recruit a large enough unit for civic work.
  • For archers and cavalry, aim to recruit those with the best weapons whilst for infantry take the highest weapon and armour.

Paraphenalia:-

  • 3 scouts per 20 men + 1 scout for faster travel. e.g. 4 for 20 men, 7 for 40 men and 10 for 60 men.
  • 1 healer per 20 men + 1 healer. Although you do need to test it out yourself to see how many you will need according to troop type, troop cost, troop quality and how often you go into battle. For archers you would need less since you tend not to be involved in battles and have low withdraw settings. I personally find one healers will do for any amount of archers for realms that have infrequent battles. For those involved with weekly battles, the general rule of thumb is to have just enough healers so that all your wounded survive.
  • 1 banner per 20 men (Archers don't need banners)
  • 1 cart per 30 men
  • If you have 2 healers, pay them daily and it will cost you 7 gold instead of 10 gold a week.
  • Caravan - I do try to have one caravan so I can steal food and my men don't suffer from hunger. Also, it is also useful to steal food to sell as sometimes region quickly run out of gold to loot when you are with the army.
  • Siege Engines - only buy them if asked by your marshal then only if the army funds you to buy them. They should be dropped as soon as you have finished using them and not have with you permanently since you would lose hours every time you travel.
