Foreword

I've now divided the papers into different sections, so we'll begin with this first Interview, with both the King of Yssaria, Eleran, and the Queen of Caligus, Lady Gwynyth.

Yssaria, Six-pointed Star

"Dear King Eleran, I'm beginning a newspaper for the realm of Fontan. I know as a King you must be a very busy person, but nonetheless, there are some things I'd like to inquire about to get my paper started off right. Would you mind if I asked you some questions about your realms origins and the war its involved in with Caligus?
Respectfully, Lady Luna"

"Noble Luna, I think it is fantastic that you are starting a paper with Fontan. I would not mind at all if you asked me some questions. I look foward to your reply. Respectfully, Eleran King of Yssaria"

Motivation finally found me and I continued my work, especially after recieving such a poor response from Caligus' lands. However, after careful consideration, I've decided to start another Edition to follow this one up.

Caligus, Wounded Lion

"Greetings Queen Gwynyth, ruler of Caligus. My name is Lady Luna, a reporter from Fontan. As Fontan has been peaceful with its southern neighbor for quite a while, I was wondering if you would have the time to answer a few quick questions I had for you about Caligus and the war it's fighting. If not I understand, as queen you must be very busy. In any case, thank you for your time my lady.
Most respectfully, Lady Luna"

Dear Luna, I will gladly answer your questions.

Queen Gwynyth, first let me apologize for taking so long to actually ask the questions, but I wanted to make sure they were questions that would give me a better understanding of your realm as whole instead of just asking the usual selfish questions that interviewers might ask. First of all, let me say this: you're not limited to my questions alone, anything you might want others to hear from a neutral perspective you can feel free to add.

You've been part of a long standing realm on this continent, Caligus. Personally, I'm a young Troopleader, but I've heard alot from my mother about your realm. Really, though, I'm sure it isn't a fair perspective. Along that, my first question is this~

~1~ What seperates Caligus from other realms or what is Caligus known for? For example, do you have an elite battle group, perhaps an interesting guild, or some other honorable claim that seperates Caligus from the rest?

~2~ Why is Yssaria attacking you, and what justification do they have to do it? What direction do you see the war taking you? And, finally, if Caligus were not in any war, or in any war it wanted, not taking into account previous alliances, where would you be heading and what would motivate you to get up, beauty yourself for the day, and get out there and lead your people?

~3~ Where do you, Gwynyth, as leader of this continent, see it going, and if it was in your power, how would you change that? In other words, what would Caligus' ideal map be?

~4~ Light of Fountain has been asking for Akesh Temple since their inspetion. How does it make you feel that they think they have a right to it simply because their religion dictates it?

~5~ Do you have alot of Roleplaying in your realm, and if so, what kind, or what type? Are you a nation of proud warriors, poets, what does it feel like to be a part of Caligus/what kind of nation pride do you have?

~6~ I'm looking for honesty here, and please, be frank, while I hold some natural national pride, there's no real way to improve without knowing what's wrong - how does Caligus view Fontan?

~Final~ If there was anything that Caligus most stood for, what would it be?

And that's about it. Feel free to let me know anything else you'd like the paper to know Caligus by, and I wish you luck in your ambitions, Queen Gwynyth.

Astonishingly, the Queen, after all that thought I put into the questionnaire, gave me no more time than she likely gave the local peasantry.

Dear Luna,

The healers allowed me to write you a message however not too long....

Caligus is mainly a rural realm, people prefer to live peacefully than fight, but when our land is invaded we defend the home with all dedication. We do not have many knights, but those knights are the great heros.

Fontan and Caligus have peace for the very long time. We live in friendship and in fact only few of us ever remember the times of war between our nations. For all young knights the peace with Fontan is a natural state of relations.

Gwynyth Queen of Caligus

Thats it- thats all of it. I asked and recieved nothing back. Realms with this little passion deserve what they are in for. No spirit, no leader, no place on this continent. A response like this reflected the state the realm was in at the time. War-torn and worried for its existance. Most places that fear their own death, do indeed, die. As it was, Queen Gwynyth was later overthrown in a bloody rebellion and replaced by Lord Vlad, Duke of Domus. Negotiations are said to be taking place with Yssaria with LOF as acting mediator. Details as they unfold.
