Scene 1

Philip suddenly woke up, as thr boat crashed down off the crest of the wave, into the boiling sea. His head knocked the floor, again, and a tiny puddle of blood started to form. Philip was just able to think of a prayer to the Tidemother for help before darkness consumed him completely.

Scene 2

The next time Sir Philip opened his eyes, he was laying a bed. A stationary bed, thank the Tidemother. Everything hurt, still, but not quite as much as before.

A woman rushed over to him, having seen his eyes open, and told him to hush, to drink. She lifted his head and helped him drink. She said many things afterwards, of which Philip could only remember that he had been found washed ashore (again) and brought here to be cared for.

The exhaustion finally got to Sir Philip, and his eyes closed, and this time he was able to mutter a word of thanks to the Tidemother for once again saving his life.

Scene 3

This time, Sir Philip woke up and everything was only a little sore. He was able to open his eyes, and look around. The light was dim, as it was nighttime, but there was some light from the hearth in the room he was in.

Sir Philip sat up, and saw his old clothes in tatters, on the floor. He was in some sort of undershirt, and noticed some clothes laid out for him, so he put them on. Definitely someone else's clothing as they didn't fit all that well, but they would do. He noted the gold pouch with only a few coins in them, instead of the wealth he was used to. Sir Philip opened the door and walked into the main room.

The nice woman he had talked to before was there, and he talked to her for a few hours to hear the story how she found him and brought him back to her house to help him recover. He thanked her profusely, and explained who he was and offered her some gold for her trouble.

Since he had so few coins, he used some parchment and ink to write a few letters requesting financial assistance from some other nobility known to be flush with gold. His personal guard won't pay for itself.

Sir Philip noted a letter he received requesting his skills in bureaucracy in style nearby regions. Once he is able to recruit a guard to protect him, he plans to set course to assist however he can.
