Dragon Song

Henrich had done his offerings to the Volcano, facing the most feral landscape in his entire life and had visited the Ruins of Walfurgisnacht, always in a silent march. Sometimes, frightened men fells sick and the healers had some work to recompose them; Henrich would not lose any man in those strange lands to see then transformed in soulless monsters or worse. Along the travel they saw some lesser demons, but Henrich detained any approach, at least until now. His travel could not be completely useless and he was not there just to see what was beyond the mist. Then, leaving the sulfuric and caustic air behind them, they advanced towards the fortress.

Under the sunlight’s mantle, waiting for the darkest hour in those lands, the Stormbringers received the order to stop in two lines with another two small groups forming the spear’s tip with Henrich at the front and his banners behind him. With a nod of his hand the twisted horns sounded to announce his arrival. In a slower pace they advanced with the Stormbringers beating sword against shield to call the attention of who was beyond the walls. They forced their bravery to prevent a stampede if a real dragon arises with huge wings and infernal fire dripping like lava from its maw. The High Magistrate thought for a moment and made his decision. He was a Serpentis.

Henrich Eyolf: “You who live beyond the mist and the walls, I’m Henrich Eyolf Serpentis, the Azure Dragon of Asylon, Viscount of Kid’s Rock and Lord of the Seas. I came from the ice and snow, from the caustic air and screams to meet the Lord of this stronghold! I traveled from the far north, from the Whale’s Land to talk with your representatives. Open the gates and let me in. I’m here in peace!”

The young warrior led his hands in front of his body, empty with his gauntlets. That was his last attempt. He walked boldly toward the gates, letting his soldiers behind with a reverent surprise.

The clouds above reflect as if fires burn strongly beneath them. You see nothing where you stand. What goes on at the top of the huge temple structure you know not. The doors stay barred, human Zuma walk along much higher walls, their clothes the color of fire. A couple of these have stopped and stare at you, waiting to see what your next action will be.

Henrich advanced some steps toward the gates, watching who came under the steamy sky to observe him. Raising his head, he repeated in tempestuous tone:

Henrich Eyolf: "I'm Henrich Eyolf Serpentis, the Azure Dragon of Asylon, Viscount of Kid’s Rock and Lord of the Seas! I'm here in peace to talk with your dark Lords! I'm a human, nothing they have to fear. Open te gates and let me in!"

The young Lord had a respectful fear, but he tried to show he was someone important beyond the mists. Moreover, his curiosity was enormous. He wanted to see a demon closely as Yeux Serpentis had lived with the Monsters in Beluaterra. His neighbors were too close... he couldn't ignore them.

One of the doors opens, and a human male Zuma dressed in clothing that looks like fire steps out. Two fill the doorway behind him. He stands close in front of you, a smell of smoke is apparent, he says nothing, simply shakes his head and points west.

Roleplay from Henrich Eyolf Serpentis

Henrich saw the gates opening and his soldiers were apprehensive. He took a sword wrapped in a thin fabric, a gift. The young warrior looked curiously at the servant, thinking to himself that the poor creature should be mute with a severed tongue to prevent him to tell the secrets of his dark master. Regardless, he stepped forward, watching what was waiting for him within the fortifications. Maybe he was the first human to go in there in years. Maybe the first one in any way.

As you step forward, those in the doorway draw weapons, and those high above appear to aim something toward you. Again the Zuma that is closest to you points west, towards Nightmarch.

Henrich could feel the eyes over him and even the sharp arrows. He wore only light armor and made no mention of taking his sword. He just carried the blade that was a gift wrapped in the fine cloth, looking in the direction the servant pointed out. He watched everything in that strange place, following to the west, waiting to find the Dark Lords.
