Serpentis Family/Henrich/Born Again
Investments made Itau flourish under the new leadership. The young Duke witnessed carts arriving everyday with loads of large stones from Barrow Peaks to build a castle over the cliffs like a crow opening his wings and casting shadows over the sea. Villagers from Freil and the woodsmen from Casburk marched in long processions every evening, returning to the well-deserved rest after the hard work. Along the Gallows Road they saw many pirates, criminals and troublemakers hanged, dancing very gently with the wind while the ravens made their feast. The city was now ruled by the High Magistrate of Asylon and the severe law would bring order to keep a fast growth. Repairs were made and the scum was pushed to the ports, but the city would remain with his foggy spirit. Henrich had never seen such a beast -- but the Alley of Lions and the Tower Circle were covered with black flags of nocturnal birds from the new banners manufactures. Old men in black robes and beaked masks guided their apprentices to the horrors of war injuries. The powerful sound of hammers only cease when the night covered everything with her cloak and when the new recruits could dream about the glories conquered by the sword.
Henrich left the city below him in the endless night and made his stairway to his unfinished halls and towers. The wind kissing him with the sea breeze. When he looked for the flask on his belt a pair of gentle hands surprised him, wandering in his chest and bringing the sacred drink to his mouth. A young lover sharing his deserved conquest, feeling the glow in his proud eyes. They drank to set the night on fire with a sacred bonfire and powerful alive dreams. The sweet lunacy. That was their ritual rapt in pleasure and madness.
Fall fires burn 'neath
Black twisted boughs
Sacrifice to above
Smoke swirling quickly
Towards misting clouds
Offering of this blood
Into the flames
And without shame
Consumed with howls and screams
In his frantic visions he saw Lady Redemption fading away, consumed by the smoke. He could hear a dragon's laughter echoing from the other side of the known world, a great serpent angering the ocean, bringing thunders under his wings. And maybe for some feeling of revenge, he saw Lady Bucklefee there into the igneous fire borning again as Itau. He stretched his bare hands to touch her.
Cruel be the wind
As it quells my words
I shout out to the rain
Incantations I so hoped
You've heard
That you live again
From deep earth
Brings forth rebirth
Witness but I shant believe
Be spiderwebbed
And glazed in frost
She wears death beautifully
More stunning now
Than in her life
On a bed of Autumn leaves
Into her eyes
And quite surprised
I whispered
Don't you leave
Sing macabre songs
And we'll dance 'til dawn...
The young woman slapped his face and pushed him on the floor to dance over his body, consuming his soul and a bit of his sanity through his mouth in burning kisses. The sacred fruit being shared between them with lust. The dawn swallowed the couple with her spells. Henrich was exhausted, feeling a warm breath against his chest. A golden mantle of her hair for one of his lazy hands. However, a glimpse of the fire captured his eyes before the big sleep.
Cold is the night
In so many ways
Luna round, full and bright
Deep be the mud
On the fresh dug graves
On yours I recite
An ancient spell
I know so well
Success is guaranteed
I'll bring you back
From where you've gone...
