A Colorful Judge

Empty bottles. An empty bed. An armor almost completely destroyed by the last battles. The elections were coming and the priestesses were not there anymore. Alone with himself. Drunk. No wife or children. Just a dungeon full of enemies. The Silver Dragon await to begin a journey while men younger than he marched where he had marched. In the heart of Fontan while he waits to serve his realm as many had demanded of him in the past. A rich man ready to squander the gold of his family. To write once again his name in the history of Sirion for that the people never forget him. Elune was there. The goddess slid down in the bed to whisper in his ears.

You woke up this morning

Got yourself a sword,

I always said you'd be

The Chosen One.

I said: You're one in a million

You've got to burn to shine,

But you were born under a bad sign,

With a blue moon in your eyes.

You woke up this morning

All that love had gone,

I never told you

About right and wrong.

But you're looking good,

I believe you're feeling fine, (shame about it),

Born under a bad sign

With a blue moon in your eyes.

You woke up this morning

Got a blue moon in your eyes

You woke up this morning

The world turned upside down,

Thing's ain't been the same

Since you walked into town.

But you're one in a million

You've got that longsword shine.

Shame about it!

Born under a bad sign,

With a blue moon in your eyes.

When you woke up this morning everything you had was gone.

By half past ten your head was going ding-dong.

Ringing like a bell from your head down to your toes,

Like a voice telling you there was something you should know.

Last night you were flying but today you're so low

- ain't it times like these that make you wonder if

you'll ever know the meaning of things as they appear to

the others; wives, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers.

Don't you wish you didn't function, don't you wish you

didn't think beyond the next tax day and the next little drink?

Well you do so make up your mind to go on, 'cos

when you woke up this morning everything you had was gone.

Woke up this morning,

You wanna be the Chosen One.

Got yourself a sword!''

It was a long daydream. The Judge of Sirion standed up with his armor full of injuries. It was almost certain that the blessed metal forged from a shooting star would be just stardust in some days. From Elune back to Elune. Sirion someday would have a myth stronger than that? The Silver Dragon, the Chosen One, picked up his swords and left to his journey. The goddess was in his eyes and a woman in his heart. The battles would have to wait for him. But the people would see again the Judge of Sirion in the image of a benevolent pilgrim. Spreading the mercy that only he could offer. With the blue moon in his eyes.
