History The Scarlet Breastplate of Glory can trace it's origin to the forges of the Monstrous Orc general of Eldoret. After gathering an army of unmatched strength among the assorted clans the orc leader had commissioned the aid of a witch grant him victory in his campaign of the human lands. The witch crafted the Scarlet Breastplate of Glory to protect the general from all harm, a boon the general sacrificed three hundred soldier to receive. In the end the generals invincibility was not absolute, and the adventurer Pendric eventually tracked the general down after his armies were crushed and took the breastplate from him.
He went of you bring the armor to Therkim, Veteran of 100 wars, who saw even greater potential in the armor. He brought it to his mystical forge and infused it with arcane energies. When he emerged Pendric was enthusiastic about how awesomely powerful the armor would become under the Great Veteran's hammer, but Therkim said he just infused it with influence to make it's better more adept at trading. Slightly disappointed but still appreciative Pendric took the breastplate and proceeded to seek out a noble patron who needed to trade grain and look good doing it.
