A Journal follows:

My name is Juan Ignacio Sarmiento -

I am the second of three sons of my humble father, Sebastian Zuccarelli Sarmiento. Quiet, reserved, introspective. Soul searching at the moment in Greater Aenilia. I prefers the calm of hunting and archery to the clang of swords, however I must say that recently I have been developing a knack for the barbaric slaughter. Poise and skill my friends, poise and skill. My brother Geraldo would have you believe otherwise, the headstrong fool. Ah yes, but this is about me.

I had the honor of participating in the battle of Hutael, felling many men with my hefty yew longbow, Trumpetier. A massive beast of a bow that is. Took me many summers in the northern woods of Azarons to learn how to properly use that thing. You would be able to ask those Nighthelmian soldiers how skilled I am, but unfortunately they´re six feet under.

The subsequent staredown of Nighthelm at the gates of Masahakon, was rather dull. Honestly, if my brother hadn´t been around I should have begun to shoot pigeons out of pure boredom. I really do hate those rats with wings. At an rate, the white flag was finally raised above the city walls and we returned home to Greater Aenilia. For a breif refitting.

I was sent on a mission infront of the allied armies as a ultimatum warning in Anacan. We posed no real threat and really expected a little more decency from the horde of rats that had infested themselves within those walls. We were met with battle, what less could be expected. At least those rodents have been burned out of their hiding places, although we had to return a second time to finish them off. We then moved on to Taop for a breif bit. I believe that victory assured the collapse of what was the mighty Commonwealth, for it practically disintegrated the following morn.
