Region of Saex

Saex is divided between a heavily wooded north and a sunny open coastline to the South. The woods are a popular recreational hunting ground for noblemen from the neighbouring cities of Remton and Lasop, although this creates some tension with local peasant opportunists who poach its bounteous fauna. Sporting huntsmen are warned, however, not to stray too far to the north or east, lest they lose themselves in the Wraithwalk woods from whence the dark things come.

The Southern coastline is, likewise, favoured by gentlemen spending the weekend away from the city; there is a fashion among the minor nobility for maintaining a fishing boat in Aexharbour. In the autumn and spring these head out to sea under peasant captains to provide a substantial portion of Saex's produce, in winter they lie in harbour (but for the few with foolish or desperate enough captains to brave the winter storms), and in summer they serve as pleasure boats for decadent nobles playing at fishing. Merchants, on the other hand, tend to pass Aexharbour by, heading for the much wealthier ports of Lasop or Niel, or up the river Remtonas to Remton itself.
