Rowley Family/Conrad

Despite the wishes of his father, Conrad Rowley had no intention of finding glory on the battlefields of Norland. True power followed wealth, and Conrad hoped to find both in the land of his ancestors. With funds from the family reserves, he found a merchant heading to the East continent, and paid for modest accomodations aboard his ship.

After a brief experiment as a trader, Conrad found himself inevitably leading a small contingent of infantry, as his host realm began to fall to the relentless armies of Caligus. In an ironic twist of fate he found himself trapped in the city of Hamadan as the siege ensued.

It was tempting to slip out to any of the neighboring realms, where the gold was plentiful and his life wasn't at constant risk. But he had to admit that the choice of continents and even realms was no accident. For generations, the name "Rowley" was spoken in ridicule and disgust. Despite this, Yssaria took him in and treated Conrad as an equal. He wasn't about to betray their trust in a repeat of Bram's infamous treachery.
