The Dark Sorcerer Event

This event in Reven is designed to elect and bequeath the title of Dark Sorcerer onto one of Reven's nobles. The Dark Sorcerer is an honorary title that indicates someone as a state sponsored spellcaster who receives the support of the realm in learning and mastering the arcane arts in exchange for acting as a conduit for spellcasting needs when the realm has need of it. Whenever a Dark Sorcerer Event is held either a new Dark Sorcerer is elected if none currently exists or the current Dark Sorcerer opens the floor to challengers for the position. After the new Dark Sorcerer is elected or the current one retains the position, scrolls are gathered throughout the realm to contribute toward the Dark Sorcerer's education. Usually these are summoning scrolls which tend to be the most plentiful available. These are put into the Dark Sorcerer's hands and they are given free reign to cast them in and around the city while the realm watches and prepares itself to deal with the outcomes of the castings.

The Election of the First Dark Sorcerer

In this first election the only noble to officially declare their candidacy was sir Hendrick Armsworth. After a 6 day referendum, the results were:

Votes
5 votes for Hendrick
2 votes for Sol
1 votes for Sarevok

Lord Hendrick Armsworth won and became the First Dark Sorcerer of Reven.

The Scroll Casting Event

Nine summoning scrolls were gathered for this event and were cast in the region of Verdomite.
