NA Defeated behind walls!

This morning the forces of Tara and Darka stopped running and stood in behind the walls of Tandsu, aparently gathering for an attack on the Take Over Forces of Redspan and Abbington. But the Federation launched a premtive strike on the region and decisivly defeated the NA, even though they had the walls. Unfortuntaly due to an error in the NA setting 1/2 of their infantry decided to leave the protection of the wall and met their fate at the hands of the Federation infantry and Cavalry, once these units had been wipped out the now depleted defenders of the walls stood no chance against the onslaught that follwed. Darka has now been kicked back up north, and Tara is in a very venerable situation. But the rumours are already circulating, where are CE? Are they going to let little brother die a slow death?

Atblane Knows Best

The rogue region of Atblane has decide it is better to be back under Redspans control than be a rouge or under Tara's brutality. The peasents have decide that a life or growing their beards and drinking beer is much better then shaving and washing. We in Redspan Accept the decision of these people with open arms.

Meldeen back under Our control

After three days meldeen is back under the control of Redspan, the claim has now been resloved. The peasents are over joyed at the quick and peaceful take over of the region, unlike the take over that Tara did in which they looted all the homes of one village, and then raped the women of the men who had stood up to the violence. At least Redspan knows the meaning of Nobility and honour.

Interview With King Carriantor

Continuing on from the interview with King Shamus, the Redspan Revealer did an interview with the second member of the Federation, Here is the following interview: 1: How are things in Abbington, its been a while since we were last there? All in all things are well in Abington, we have finally moved on from the deep loss of Drago (I am sure many old timers in RedSpan are glad to hear this). El Cidd recently departed our ranks, and the ladies, and some of the gents, here all breathed a sigh of relief. He was a bad boy who really did nothing but whine about taxes, I thought perhaps he hadn't the manners to find a lady himself and perhaps he need more gold to hire 'escorts' if you know what I mean. We miss having vistors, other than the tournament, only the occasional CE and Darkan slip a visit in the night, it is just not the same as somebody bringing a bunch of men with sticks into Yacon or Chasnoff. By with 140 nobles in our realm things are never boring, there seems to be 140 different 140 views on each issue, and actually it is a fine line to just keep the majority happy. 2: How do you feel the federation is working? And is there any way it could actually be made better? The federation is working well in my opinion, King Shamus, and King Kronos are understanding fellows, I am proud to call them brothers. RedSpan has been going through some rough times recently with the agreed surrendering of Sullenport, and the non-stop attacks from Tara. We are doing lots to help, but sometimes I wish we could do more but perhaps what we are doing and just being an additional voice to RedSpan is plenty enough to bolster RedSpan's fight against Tara. The recent week has turned this all around though. Carelia's war with ASI, is concerning but both realms have agreed to keep it between themselves and I applaud but King Kronos and King Doc's Revenge on this. The federation couldn't really be made better, we mutually need each other's co-operation, perhaps if Carelia was closer to Abington we could better aid Carelia, but other than that I don't think I could find better brothers. I am thankful for the friendship and understanding that we have, and I hope I have demonstrated my commitment to stand by each of them. 3: What do think of the situation that the federation is in now in terms of the strugle with the NA? The NA is a savvy innovative bunch that will keep us struggling for years to come. Achilles is relentless in his expansion into RedSpan's regions and it really unfortunate that ASI has chosen to ally with CE, it just adds to the pressures, but such is the way of the snake that lies in the grass. 4: Abbington recently gave a "gift" to Redspan, We would like to thank you for that, Was the decision made easily or was it hard, and what was the factors concerning your judgement? It was relatively easy to make the decision, implementing it was really the hard part. Aside from that I really don't like to divulge details, I enjoy what little privacy I have left. I just hope it goes a long way to aiding your case against Tara. I am sure they will not find any useful propaganda in my interview other than being able to use the newspaper to clean their backsides with on their royal throne. 5: You have been king of Abbington now since Gabriel stepped down, how do you feel that you have handeled the challenge of being king? If you had another chance would you change anything? Being king to over 140 nobles is not a easy matter, one person or another is always complaining or attempting to garner brownie points, some are successful, some are not, some do it through deeds and some do it through confrontation and wit. Being King is certainly overwhelming on a daily basis, but I must be doing it in an acceptable manner for I did get elected in the face of some great competition. This is something that I hope never changes in Abington, for without the struggles we would become complacent rather than competitive, so if I were to have an accident tomorrow the realm would still be in great hands, what more could be asked for? But if I had the chance to change anything it would be the prevention of Drago's death, he was a wise person who in his recent years had become a Duke and Banker that knew well his place and his advice was always strongly rooted in hard reasoning, and yes even his stance on RedSpan had changed.
