Missaglias Family
Family History
The Missaglias family originates from the region of Obtal in rural Sartania in the Far East. For generations the family was little more than a family of wealthy peasants. However because of the noble blood flowing threw their veins they were still held far above the common peasant. The family made its small fortune from the large peach orchard they held on their estate, and the family would use this income to survive through the ages; ignoring the outside worlds conflict and strife. It was not until during the Great Arcaean War as some call it that Tomaso the eldest child decided to take action. It was during one of the raids being conducted by Arcachon (one of Acraeas allies) that caused young Tomaso to join the army.

Tomaso Missaglias
Tomaso was born to the region of Obtal in Sartania. He grew up on his families estate were they grew peaches. He would remain in Obtal rarely leaving the region throughout the first 18 years of his life. It was not until one of Arcachon's raids on the region that Tomaso decided to join the army. During this said raid some of the Arcachon soldiers came to his families estate. Once there not only did they burn down half of the families orchard but also killed both of Tomaso's parents. Only his aunt remained who had taken the children and hid while his parents held the soldiers off. During all of this Tomaso had been out riding his horse across Obtal's plains, but once he decided to start heading home he saw smoke coming from the direction of his families estate.
When Tomaso finally arrived back at his estate he found it to be in ruins with both of his parents dead at the front door. This incident would change the family forever. Tomaso was so enraged at the site of his dead parents that he grabbed his fathers antique sword off the wall and rounded up twenty two other men to hunt down the men who killed his parents. After an hour or two of trying to find the culprits Tomaso ran into the main Arcachon force in Obtal. They recognized him as an Sartanian noble and attacked him. It was at this point the Tomaso became the hunted. After a short skirmish Tomaso and his few remaining men escaped to the region of Tuhpos. There he would meet up with Ingvar who would become his Lord. After a short trip back to Niel to refit he meet up with a street thief, and a kind soldier; who would come to be his best of friends.
During his visit to Niel a couple of street kids stole his luggage. After trying to chase them down he was stopped by a giant of a man with a great bushy beard.
The man turned out to be the protector of these children, and when he saw a noble chasing them he became enraged. A short fight broke out between the giant and Tomaso, but Tomaso was quickly knocked unconscious by the man. After a few hours Tomaso awoke in a bed in the giants house with the man sitting next to him. He would latter introduce himself as Fezzik a dock worker. Fezzik apologized profusely for the children's theft, and his own violent action. He then offered Tomaso his service as repayment. Tomaso of course felt honored to have such a man as Fezzik at his side. Latter that day he would come across a man named Herwin who would become his captain.
Once he was done with the refit he returned to Tuhpos to prepare for the retaliation against Arcachon. During the march to Obtal he and another small group of nobles got ahead of themselves. Once they arrived to find that they had left the main army behind they also discovered that the Arcachon army was readying itself for battle. Of the nobles who arrived early one of them was the Marshall of the Sartan Crusaders. He decided to try and take the enemy by surprise thinking that they would not expect an attack from such a small force. Even though at the end of the attack it would be remembered as a Arcachonian victory to the men who fought there it owuld always be remembered as a Sartanian victory. It was said that for every Sartanian that fell that day three to four Arcachon soldiers would fall. Tomaso was able to return that day head held high having left the battle with few dead, however he did have many a wounded man in his unit.
