Metsamees Family/Woodsman
"Woodsman" Raimond Metsamees
The eldest son of Vahur named Raimond.
And twin brother to Rainor.
Rainor and Raimond although not identical twins are rather alike in theyr personalitees.
In Metsamees clan nature is held in high regard, and so do thees twins.
They are eccualy trained and educated in the traditional teachings.
Like war arts, natural philosophy, herbalism, hunting, fishing, smithing...and such.
Raimond is a private person, dosnt enjoy communicating, and prefers to live in solitude rather than in civilization.
He is stubborn and prefers to not show his weaknesses, attempts to always appear calm and well even if he is suffering.
Physically is very strong and enduring but lacks stamina and mentally is rather intelligent.
Hes looks are unusual, for not meny people have white hair and blue eyes, and he is also very big build, and has a intimidating presence to him, it is sayd he can make a man stop in its path simply by throwing a gaze at him.
By personality Raimond, is very cool and level headed, he dosnt anger easily, but when does it just might be more terrifying than a stampede of grislys.
Other wise he seems rather numb and cold person towards most things, also he dosnt joke much, seldom laughs at others jokes, a distant person.
Woods and forests are for him a place refuge and tranquility, also the closest thing to a holy place, when for most people they are places where dangerous predators and mischievous spirits lurk to claim the lives of men.
Raimond believes in strength and wisdom. And also honor, he especially demands the last from his followers and payd soldiers.
His personal goal is to gain power, not money or political titles but personal power, as in strength and wisdom.
He believes and perhaps correctly that in front of true power, money is worthless and politics are puny, and will fall to sunders and dust.
Because a man who can slauther thousands with his bare hands, need not to pay heed to kings or laws, lest he chooses to.
Golden words that escaped his lips: "A mans freedom is limited by its own strength and cunning. Not by laws or his prison guards."
Raimond picked up a career of military troop leader at the age of 18 in Eston, later he became known as a hero.
Eaven though he dosnt like social contact he is still a respectable commander, and commands his troop with wisdom, strength and honor.
In battle he has a murderous aura about him, intimidating both friends and foes alike, and the way he does battle is even more intimidating, as he executes his enemys mercilessly and often in a brutal manner.
Although he is some what skilled in the usage of weapons and more so with a axe, he can tear a man to pieces bare handed.
He part takes battles for he believes that this is the extra push that will drive him for eaven greater skill and strength.
Raimond has been in midst of battles eversience child hood for the worry of his mother and joy of his father.
In childhood Raimond often hunte animals, bears, wolves, boars deers and sutch.
Often he came back coverd in his own blood, but still victorious and with a meal.
A speach he often gives his men prior to battle:
If you are able to flee from your enemy, you also stand a chance of defeating him.
Enemy who you have no chance to win against, you cant out run either.
For in every battle he was in the front lines, only bearing his made axe and furr armor.
At some point when he heard from his cousin of the bloody battles in the South-East he went to see those for himself,
the warm climate didnt agree with him but he didnt loose his effectiveness.
At one time when he was pillaging a enemy village he saved a young woman from the men at his command,
he didnt allow rape at his presence.
The woman quickly became attached to Raimond, and wouldnt leave his side even if Raimond had promised her a save passage and a new home.
So he took her with him, warning her that her fate may be a grim one, should he fall in battle and the enemy take his encampment.
After a while time came when Raimond had to return to Atamara, the woman had grown even more attached to Raimond and likewise Raimond had became fond of her, so they got married despite her having no past nor even a last name only her first name: Aurora. And the both left for Atamara. And had a son who they named Ragnar.
5 years later anohter son, named Thaur was born.
The birth was hard on her, and afterward Aurora was unable to have any more children.
Upon returning Raimond this time joined Norland, for he prefered colder climate and at the time Amriel, where Metsamees clan resides was under Norlands control.
Once peace desended its gentle veil upon the lands, Raimond grew impatient,
he heard of his uncle Arnold in the newly discovered continent of Dwilight.
There was sayd to be many creatures, of which many creatures were yet unheard of on the other continents.
As he travaled there, he joined the realm of Springdale, since it was the most northern realm, fitting for his climate preference.
There he met up with his uncle and conducted in researching and hunting of the monsters.
Upon the succession of Virovene, from Springdale, Raimond broke his oath to his liege and joined the newly found realm.
Raimond loathed himself, for he has ever since childhood hated betrayers, but now he himself had became one.
But he also saw that betraying both sides to be a cowards way out, and he would not become a coward in addition to a betrayer.
He didnt take his own life either, for he didnt wish to leave his wife alone,
for her sake he chose to burden his sin and continue to live with the taint, atleast thats how Raimond saw it.
Later he was appointed as the baron of Mt. Black Nastrond, and also nominated as one of the Kaisers Council.
After the death of Cato De La Fere Raimond joined Morek bringing Mt. Black Nastrond with him.
His work as a baron was something he despised, being surrounded by people he hated, buried in work he saw no meaning to.
Sure overseeing a region was important, but not for Raimond. He didnt care for titles nor wealth from the start. So why did he govern a region at the expense of his own nerves and freedom, when there are myriads of people who'd wish to take his place and do the job equally well. He asked that question from himself often when going to sleep, but the night never gave any answers.
Soon he realized that he is strayng from his path to somewhere he didnt like.
Shortly Raimond already fed up with politics, stepped down from the barons position.
And soon after, he went on a killing spree in Summerdale, and was banished from Morek, though Raimond had expected such an outcome.
After his cabal of human scum (men he hired from the darkest pits of society) dissolved following several defeats from Summerdale forces, Raimond sided with some monsters to reenter the battle fray, just alittle more, before leaving Summerdale.
Now Raimond wanders the world, going where his feet take him. Along side his wife.
And occasionally part takeing a battle here or there, slaying both men and monsters, for the joy of the ravens.
