Ever since childhood Ergo had shown much potential, and his father trained him well, when he grew to a man he was nearly undefeatable warrior.
He possessed as much if not more strength than his grandfather and stamina than his father. Although he didnt have much talent at weapon usage, he did manage to learn how to handle most of the basic types at a advanced level.
He in his youth took meny jobs and successfully managed to finish them without much injury.
At the age of 16 he entered a mercenary band, for 2 years he fought and in every battle he participated he was victorious,
often he was the sole survivor of his side, but not once was he defeated.
Although he was allowed to recruit men to form his unit by the nobles he was still considered a disposable commoner, and was often sent to battle on some nobles behalf.

Do to Ergo's outstanding record and small infamy, he was labeled "the Immortal Warrior" during that war, by the enemy.
And became a attracting target for assassins, as his presence was a significant morale booster and was viewed as a ray of hope by the soldiers at his side (as long as he stands victory is ours), and a menacing monster for the enemy.
In the end of his service he had collected a decent sum and was one decisive battle away from being released from his duty. He was attacked by a assassin, the assassin although skilled failed to kill Ergo, for he was ever vigilant.
Ergo easily fought off the assassin and tied her down, for it was almost dawn and he had no time to settle scores with the assassin.
After the battle Ergo returned to his tent to find the assassin gone, he didnt care much of it, for his service had practically ended and started to collect his things for a trip to the nobleman hiring him, to collect his wages, when suddenly he was attacked by the same assassin he thought escaped, this time the assassin managed to wound Ergo, although only a flesh wound, not something to worry about, the dagger was poisoned.
Ergo captured the assassin again, this time, he asked her what poison she used, but she didnt answer.
Ergo tied the woman up and carried her with him, as he went to collect the payment.
Nobleman angered and demanded to know why Ergo had brought a tied up person with him to his quarters,
Ergo answered: "She is an assassin, who managed to wound me."
Nobleman handed Ergo his gold and spoke: "I dont deal with assassins, to take her to a city guard." Ergo answered: "You misunderstand me my'lord, she is my spoils of war, i dont intend to have her thrown to a dungeon, im merely keeping my eye on her so she wont flee." as he had spoken so he turned around, and left with the woman on his shoulder and a bag of gold on his belt.
He survived the poison rather easily, and the woman thought her future was grim at best.
But for some reason yet unknown to the woman he didnt harm her, rather he only spoke with her, although the woman was at first silent, she soon began to speak aswell. Ergo released Veronica from her bonds and told her that she is free to go, but he would rather have her come with him, as the business some times get assassination jobs and Ergo was too big to be sneaky.
He began his journey home, which would last about a month, during the journey they became close and once they reached the mansion they also got married.

Ergo continued head hunting but didnt join up as mercenary no more.
During the time Ergo was clan leader, gathered much wealth and expanded the mansion and the land the clan owned.
Ergo and Veronica had three children, Daphne, Heather and Edmund.
At the age of 62 Ergo died, probably by some heart disease.
And 3 years later Veronica followed him.
